Just to satisfy my curiosity, does anyone know what the actual color names were for Hoover models 29, 62, 63, & 634 (as they would appear on the spec sheets)?

The following is a listing of colors mentioned in online advertisements for the angle conversion uprights and other Hoover US & Canada (CA) cleaners made during 1950-1957. Most were found in Canadian Hoover Ltd. ads, so I included those models in the list below. It seems that common colors were used during this time instead of the later more unique shades and tints. Some models' ads lacked color descriptions, and some model colors were presumed based on colored magazine ads to save time. So a few models, such as the 618’s, are presumed by process of elimination or production period. Also, the model 619’s colors were listed as both “blue and beige” and “blue and grey” in different ads, so I figured some ads were inaccurate. Corrections are welcome. I used any model details/photos I could find on VL, as well.
One question I have for Canadians: Several ads included an E at the end of certain model numbers (not all in the same ad), and sometimes an S. What do these suffixes indicate?

5. 1958 Jul 11 OTTAWA CITIZEN - Model 619 in blue & grey finish

Hey Paul,
Enjoyed your listing of the color schemes of Hoover's lineup for 1950-57. Don't have any corrections, but I do have an addition for you. The Hoover Pixie model 1001, which was part of the blue & grey lineup with the 63 upright and 82 Constellation. I have one, as well as the 29, 62, 63, 64, and 634 uprights, 51 and 42 Aerodynes, and 82 and 84 Constellations in my collection. Here's a pic of my pixie.

I'm not sure about that. I do have a list showing the 1002 as being built from 1953-1955, which would put it in the right era for the blue & grey models, and instead of showing a range of serial numbers, it says "assigned by Perivale." Oddly, the 1001 isn't on the list at all, but also shows a 1015 built from 1950-1956, 2610, 1956 only, 2720 and 2830, both starting in 1957. The list doesn't show individually which of these models were Dustettes or Pixies, it just says "Dustettes and Pixies" at the top of that section in the listing. Sorry I can't be more helpful, but at this point I'm a bit confused.

"SANDALWOOD & BLUE" Category Update
Since my last post on this thread I found an advertisement for the Canadian Lightweight model 1222 (also identified as 1222E & 1222S in other ads), which named its color combo as "Wedgewood Blue and Pearl White". The blue of that sure appears to be a match to the blue of the concurrent Lark model 14. What do you think?
As Hoover CA 4-digit model numbers in that era were often 2 more than their US counterparts (eg. Floor Polishers 5452 & 5450), I searched for a Hoover model 1220 but found nothing. There was, though a UK model 1224 mentioned as a look-alike to it in another thread (those 4-digit model numbers typically being 2 more than the CA counterpart model numbers).
Correspondingly, I searched for a Canadian Lark model 16 and came up short; so it seems that the Hoover Company chose to stick with the Lark, and the Hoover Company Ltd. opted for the Lightweight at the time.
