I'm going to leave it off here for tonight, It's getting late! But I have plenty more to upload tomorrow once Robert sees this thread and O.K's it. I don't want to be sending VacuumLand into debt by exceeding bandwidth or something!

P.S-Who can identify that Stand Mixer in the background?

I LOVE

The class and elegance of that Cadillac add, along with the 1950s itself!

Here's some adds presented in the new Picture thingy-Including:

The gift that needs no occasion (HOOVERS don't need an occasion to arrive on your doorstep, either! of course,Eureka, Kirby and the like are always welcomed!)

The next add is a mix-match of adds on one page, including Adolph's salt-substituite (I couldn't imagine many people back then needing such a thing-unless you had a high blood pressure or something like that. The people of yesterday where not so bent on being so thin!).

Followed by a WESTON exposure meter (I still take photos on FILM-Except those I have to upload here! I'm on the 35 milimeter format-But Polaroid 600 is always fun-only the film is $25 for 8 photos, where as 35mm is around $12 for 96 photos!

Followed by some vacation add for Sun Valley, Idaho. Give meyour state and I'm bound to have a vacation add for it (I know I have a couple canadian adds, Minnesota and Florida!)! if any one has a request, let me know!

DeSoto Fans!

Unite! I love DeSotos myself-My favorite being the 1961 4-Door (DeSoto's very last car-The one that Chrysler had made to both blow $7,000,000 In DeSoto parts, and to make sure the giant '61 model failed in the new world of compact cars).

I know there's someone over on Automatic Washer who loves DeSotos, I forget their Username. I believe this was their dream car (I call the '61 I'm in love with my "DreamSoto!". If anyone  could  send him over here, or send them the picture, I'm sure they'd love it.

The woman driving it is Anne Forgarty, A famous fashion designer.

Hi super-sweeper

"What no kitchen phone?"

Is it me, or wasn't that pose of a bride in her new husbands arms used in the opening of 'Bewitched?' I mean the one with Dick York!

Alex Taber.

RE 55 DeSoto!

A Doctor in my hometown of Lenoir NC drove a 55 Fireflite Sportsman up into the 90s, A good friend of mine was a mechanic and worked on the DeSoto regularly, I happend to be at the garage once when it was there, and he let me drive it back to Dr Hickmans house....it was something else, every available option including air, and it was cold as ice, if you ever drive a older Chrysler product, the power steering is incomparable, nothing ever drives anywhere near as well.

It's Delovely, it's Dynamic---IT'S DE SOTO!!!!!

1955 De Sotos in this area! One is a green and white two door hardtop, I think it's a FireFlite, and at a local Antique Automobile Club of America car show, a FireFlite Coronado sedan, in tri tone black, turquoise, and white! Someone for years here, had a loaded 1954 model, whatever the top of the line was, with Chrysler wire wheels, whitewalls, and I think air conditioning. It was for sale within the last 11 years too, hopefully to an antique car lover.

wasn't it 'DElightful,DElovely,DESoto!'?

I could be wrong, but I'm not wrong about Sportsman and Adventurer and FireFlite models resting easy in the car lot on the other side of my woods. That's where I met and fell in love with a 1961 DeSoto-I do hope to make it my own in time! I always say, 'I'll have a LOT of Kirbys to sell to get that car!'

Whoever owned it managed 383,000 miles on it in 18 years!

Tell 'em Groucho sent you!

1958 DeSoto introductions on "You Bet Your Life"! Ignore the double imbed, it just happened :P
