Hello Vacuumland. I'm selling a Hoover 700. I have two, and keeping the prime example. The one I'm selling is in good shape for a full restoration. It appears to have had some work done at least 40 years ago. Has a later, clear bumper, a later replacement gray power cord, and a painted roller beater brush. The brushes are on the tired side, yet, this cleaner is overall in good shape. The bag is a period 20s bag, very, very, very rare! The cleaner came with the sliding bag clip, it needs the scissor bag spreader. I have a scissor bag spreader, but it needs repair. I will throw that part in. I had the motor serviced on this machine and the motor to handle cord replaced. However, it was missing the proper plug to fit into the hole where the handle connects to the fork. They put a plug on it, but it's too big to fit inside. I'm sure any Hoover collectors here have a proper plug. The motor sounds good and is strong. It could use a new belt, it is missing one screw on the bottom plate. The wheels are in fair condition, no flat spots I can see. The Hoover badge on the head is in good shape, looks sharp! The Servant to the Home logo on top of the motor is in good shape, not polished away as so many are!

Please contact me if anyone is interested in this cleaner, I want this to go to a good home, where it'll be restored and appreciated. Finding these this complete is getting tough!

No one is interested in this cleaner? Contact me, let's talk about it. :) If the 700 isn't interesting, I do have a model 575 I'd consider selling in slightly better condition. Doesn't have the original bag but, an earlier replacement. :)

Hoover 700

That is a nice model 700 you have there. I have a 700 that is all original, the problem with mine is the cover that goes over the belt is missing. I haven't found one yet for it....
