Wow! Looks like new! even if my sewing brand of choice is Montgomery Ward, I wouldn't mind having that as a back-up for those random mid-sew power-outages! <span style="font-family: 'andale mono', times;">

Is it easier to sew on a threadle machine as opposed to motored? I understand the need to pump but wondered if a threadle would be better for a real novice?
 
I prefer the control I have with the treadle for fine stuff, but there is a "learning Curve" Re:co-ordinating foot/hand activities. Our clutch operated commercial machines are pretty much all or nothing.
 
My grandmother had a Singer like that (although I don't think it was as old).  I remember going to the Singer store with my grandfather once to get the long leather belt for it and then helping him put it on.  I don't even know what happened to it.  I guess someone in the family ended up with it...
