14 KT Gold Kirby

Actually, I can't say that I'm that crazy about it. The gold looks strange with the G6 color scheme. And imagine getting a scratch on this. I guess you just wouldn't use it and it would be for collection only.

I think it's ugly, but I'll buy one when I win the lottery so I can say I have a gold vacuum :o) I'd use it though!

I think they look better without the gold, but it would be a rare machine to have in a collection. One good thing about a normal Kirby is its restorability if it gets scratched. I imagine that the gold would buff off of a machine like this, so I'd be nervous to use it lest it be ruined and unrestorable. I'd love to have that gold one because of its novelty, though.

It's not gold

These are models given to dealers/distributors when they meet sales goals. The gold color, I believe, is a sprayed lacquor over the current aluminum. A scratch will take the color down to the silver.

this is a hooey...

more than repulsive to me.

Gold may possibly still be ok in the burgundy color scheme of the G5 or hopefully be acceptable with black and yellow (G6) but it is a disgrace to any other model or series (speaking of blueish or grayish colors).

At the same time I do not believe Kirby to really make their vacs out of gold, rather do I think they gold plate regular Kirbies. (A real drawback, once it comes to good taste I think).

Making something look "gold" to make it look more valuable is just like paying a cheap wonder bra to some teenage girl to make her look more "adult" (which may
be true for some odd-minded contemporaries).

For me: A disgrace, a gruesome oddity hardly to be exceeded. A shame, hardly a joke. I know that these are given to Kirby salesmen reaching a certain goal, but if I were one of them, I'd be more than embarassed.
More than embarrassed...!

Imagine you are a (serious and honest) teacher and some strange authority assigns that highly wanted and envied "Sesame Street" seal of approval to you (cookie monster XXL in blue PVC) whatever...... (what a terrible blame) - such as a golden Kirby.

To put it in German, I'd say *kotz*
(sorry for the rude langugage)

lol

You'd think that regular Kirbys are gold plated for the prices they sell em at lol. Hey, Cant you see Mr T using one of these! "I pitty the poor sucka who had to find all this gold to put on a domestic aplience!"

Charlie... as allways!

It is not a Sentria. It is an Ultimate G. Everything about the vacuum is stock Ultimate G. It does not have a single Sentria-specific part.

Sentria

This is a Sentria on the right and an Ultimate G Diamond Edition on the left. From a distance, a Sentria is identifiable by the red-orange carrying grip on the lower third of the handle.
