Tonight marks the 39th anniversary of the death of my aunt. She was the first to have a 1076 Convertible in our family. I saw it, brand new, in her home in 1973. It is what caused me to obtain my own. Last year, I was given hers, along with a Connie. Both were used and abused. Last summer, they both returned to North Canton and were revived from the dead by Tom Anderson.
My personal 1076 is still in "pristine" condition, having been given stellar service by Gnall Jones in Wilkes-Barre, then, by Sweeper Central in Scranton. So, tonight, I think I'll run mine upstairs, and my aunt's downstairs.
Great machines, indeed.
