100$ Walmart Dyson

So I've have this for a week now and I used it at least every other day. I've been pleasantly surprised with it's performance. Of course it still has that cloudy bin problem after a couple uses. I'm pleased that it has the open floor plate compared to the cord guards on my dc65. All in all, it cleans 3x better than my dc65, maneuvers easier (I think it's my dc65s post motor filter cover never felt right after it removed the ball portion). Of course the hose is still practically useless unless you use an extension on it because the recoil is so bad. The kitty litter on the hard floors is easily picked up with this new ball too.

Now... I'm not a bagless fan by any means, and I feel like some people snicker at Dyson posts. I don't know many people who would pass up a vacuum that is 70% off and only one left in the clearance aisle. Even if you were to just give it as a gift because it's so cheap. I'm always willing to try out brands and I do like most for what they bring to the table. I do feel Dyson has the best bagless design for filtration and I wouldn't be afraid to vacuum fine particles up in it compared to sharks (which I also like). However I pitty the people who think they have "made it" and talk amongst friends thinking they are making people jealous that they own a Dyson or shark .

I wouldn't suck up fine particles with it. It will build up and clog the cyclone holes. It will then be a pain in the arse to clean. Just thought I'd put out a warning.
They do have alot of power. I wouldn't suck up flower or drywall dust with it.

Oh absolutely not, I wouldn't intentionally suck stuff off, I just mean I trust it's separation abilities better than sharks. Everytime I have cleaned my Dyson filters that are pure white.

A lot of the cyclone clogging with Dysons is due to letting them fill past the maximum fill line. Due to their design of the cyclonic system, if you let the bin fill too much, it will reverse-suck the debris through the cyclone out of the bin and then wedge itself in the top of the cyclone assembly where it eventually packs in there and makes a big clog. Just keep an eye on the fill line and you'll be OK.

Also, I wish my house was that dirty, to fill and entire bin up of dirt in one cleaning. My vacuums never get more than a small handful of dirt up. I'm not sure how some people get that much stuff up, also not emptying it after every use. That's kinda stinky

Part of the problem.

Most people don't empty their bagless vacuum after each use

Correct. People think bagless means never have to empty it again. Then when it gets so packed full the motor dies or the vacuum loses suction, they think it's broken and toss it out and then go buy another $200 vacuum and start the process over again.

I just picked up a Dyson dc07 animal off a trash pile. Works fine. No attachments. The flex hose has a small hole close to the handle but tape will suffice to patch that.

It was empty but when I opened it I discovered a lot of the little holes were clogged and whacking it produced a lot of fine powdery dirt which came out of the cyclone hole and the little holes. It was windy, I was outside at the trash bin doing this and I still got covered with powdery dirt! Checked the filter, looks like it needs a cleaning and there is pet hair all around it. Roller brush needed cleaning and did that. It doesn’t seem to really fluff the carpet much and the brush was indeed running as I could feel it when it flipped the brush control switch. I didn’t care for so few bristles on the roller brush, maybe that’s part of the issue or the floppy floating “automatic height adjusting nozzle.

Suction seems ok even with the dirty filter.

About 5 years ago I bought a new in the box animal dc07 from down state. It still have it and used it a few times. It's an interesting machine, but yes I do agree with the brushroll being useless basically. It's essentially a plastic ruler twisted in a spiral. It was a dumb design on their end and their bristles have always been oddly spaced apart
