Hey guys, I found a 10 Amp Fantom Fury on craigslist in another state, and the lady was nice enough to ship it! :) It came today, and while it needs some work, *well, a lot to be exact* I am very proud to have it. I have to remove the sticker on it from the vacuum shop, I will do that tomorrow, but I wanted to post a pic. Let me know what you think! :)

I had to reglue the collection bin inner cyclone down because it had come lose, the hepa filter was put in backwards and was BLACK because it was the original from 1997, the machine had scuffs and a sticker I had to remove, the belt was almost twice as long as it should have been and had at least 20 *way more probably* cracks in it, the headlight was burned out, I opened the clean out port and had a sand slide of dust, dirt, sand, etc start pouring out into a PILE on the floor, and the body of the machine was filthy. Below is an updated picture of it, and you can see it looks even better than it did in the pic above because the sticker is gone, some of the scuffs are gone, and the bumper is on better than it was.

I have 2 Furys here at the moment, my uncle has the other. One might have a 10 amp motor. Two were bought new at Ames back in the day, the other I hackjobbed from a couple I garbage picked. I had another hackjobbed one I sold to a coworker who as far as I know still has it. I know I used a 10 amp base to make the one my coworker ended up with.

There really isn't a lot of difference between the 10 and 12 amp in terms of performance. Was probably more marketing to sell the Thunder.

FYI non abrasive liquid car wax shines these things up like new.

On a side note I don't know why they'd want to sell Thunders over the Fury, it had twice as many parts (by my estimation, probably really does), probably cost more to make. They could easily have made more selling the Fury instead, lower parts count easier to disassemble/assemble.
