Electrolux Model XXX attachments & Crevice Tool Q

One correction to your info., Charles. The textured crevice tools didn't come until sometime during the run of the Olympia One (maybe when it was remodeled 1401B with the two handles and other revisions). The Jubilee and Super J also had the smooth ivory crevice tools (same as the tan G and...

    Electrolux upright

What did the "E" stand for in the model # then, Jimmy? I thought it stood for "electric hose", because of the Genesis LXe or am I wrong about that, too?

    Sometimes crazy things happen

Don't forget the 1945 even though it was sold before you were alive. Great method for collecting! Check out Charles's Kirby pages if you haven't already: http://1377731.com/kirby/ Model 505 (originally posted by cb123):

    Electrolux upright

I noticed in the 1979 Olympia One manual that it mentions that a commercial version of the upright was available (the pic shows a tan Model 1363 that had been sold during the Super J era, but I'm thinking that the Model 1451 was introduced around 1979). So I'm wondering now if the Model 1451E...

Electrolux Model XXX attachments & Crevice Tool Q

Hey again, Doug - Re: replies #5, 14, 24, 25, 29 It's been awhile, so I reread the replies in this thread and found that Jimmy mentioned that the first tan G crevice tools had plain lettering (#24) and the later ones carried the boat-shaped logo as seen in #8. So, I'm thinking that the US...

Electrolux Model XXX attachments & Crevice Tool Q

Crevice "Tip" Did Electrolux make the short crevice "tip", so it could be stored in the dust brush? Was it standard or optional? Does Aerus still sell it? I'm guessing it went with the 75th anniversary machines because of its oyster color.

Electrolux (UK) Ltd. List of Vacuum Cleaners

Edgar, I'm interested in seeing your list & photos of Dutch cleaners.

Electrolux (UK) Ltd. List of Vacuum Cleaners

Yeah, I agree, but the Electrolux model information available on Vacuumland besides the USA and Canada is pretty limited, and I haven't found any websites like Charlie Lester's or Doug Smith's that feature detailed Electrolux information in a time-lined format made in other countries.

Electrolux (UK) Ltd. List of Vacuum Cleaners

I used the Electrolux (UK) Ltd. pamphlets that Doug Smith posted to provide this quick reference list. Additions are welcome, because the list only goes up to 1980 and the pamphlets only included vacuum cleaners; not floor polishers/shampooers, commercial vacuums, or devices. I'm not sure just...

Electrolux model G: A version I have never seen before

I found pics of another Electrolux Model GG on Terry Kay's webiste. I'm wondering if there were 500 made of it just like the later black and chrome Model 1521/Ultralux CE achievement award? Anyway, even though some opine that the golden color is garish, I beg to differ. I think it has that...

Tan Model G sales receipt - something interesting

Doug Smith mentioned that the Model G was briefly sold in Canada in the mid-'60s (around the end of the aqua Model G run and the beginning of the tan Model G run) to test market the US's power nozzle. Its success caused Canada to import the US Model PN-1 in colors matching its Model ZB88 and...

Canadian Electrolux history from Doug in Moose Jaw

I forgot to comment on the "B" model designation versus "BA" and "BX" of earlier shampooer/polishers. I'm guessing that the single letter identifies it as a Canadian-exclusive machine (as the overleaf states) and like you'd explained with the "Z" designation for Canadian-exclusive vacuum...

Canadian Electrolux history from Doug in Moose Jaw

thanks for the clarifications, Doug. I wish people wouldn't be so casual in stating years such as the person who has the 2102 manual listed. That sure adds to the confusion. I like how the overleaf of the B20 is so complete by mentioning such things as its 32 years of existence along with a...

Canadian Electrolux history from Doug in Moose Jaw

Another thing is that reply 11, according to Dave Kerr who originally posted it, displays a 1961 manual. In that case the B20 would have been introduced in '61 instead of '66 (as your records seem to indicate). Also, attached is a photo of a current eBay listing of a Model 2102 Trivac manual...

    Electrolux B-9, B-10, 1522 Q Floor Beautifiers

Re: Reply 34 You're welcome, Gareth. I like your B-9, too--and that tank is cool. I noticed that the B-9--unlike the B-6--had two brushes in the front and one in the back (like the US versions). ______ I just noticed on a current eBay listing from Canada for a jade/sand Model 2101 which...

Tan Model G sales receipt - something interesting

Re: "Electric Hose" I wonder if it just denoted that it came with the power cord as the power nozzle was not a standard item at the time; so those opting for a straight suction machine would have just bought a hose without the cord?

Tan Model G sales receipt - something interesting

Re: Reply #4 I believe it was tig21er (John) who'd remembered that the tan Model G made its debut in 1966--not 1967 as so many sources indicate. Well, not that I didn't believe John, but here is proof that he remembered accurately: a 6/29/66 date of purchase on a tan Model G owner's manual...

    Electrolux Vaporizers & Sprayers

Correction on Reply #2: I just noticed that my 1973 1205 manual mentions the vaporizer and sprayer in the "Optional Equipment" section. I also have a 1976 Super J manual which mentions both in its "Other Fine Electrolux Products" section. That means that the vaporizers and sprayers were made...
