    Hoover Model 69 Re-listed

I LOVE the rug your vacuuming in the pictures and video. Was that a local purchase or from a big retailer? Oh, and very nice Hoover!

    Hoover Anniversary Upright

Thanks for the feedback. I'll pass on this one, I can't stand loud vacuums and a lot of my rugs are wool so I would hate to see them damaged. I'm looking to replace my Kenmore progressive with a similarly featured machine and the price sure was right on this hoover

    Hoover Anniversary Upright

I'd think I would like to bid on this as a daily driver, but aren't these really loud?

    Some household appliances for sale

Hi John, What is the 411 on the Rowenta Iron on the right in pic 3? I had one years ago and really liked it but it fell off the ironing board and broke. Let me know, Thanks Jim

Bissell ProLite peice of poo poo

My upstairs vac is a Bissell Pro Lite that's a little over a year old. Today while using it, the motor part snapped right off the wheels! What the hell? I didn't pay a lot for it so when I toss it in the garbage it won't hurt to much. I should have listened to the experts and not have gone the...

    I found a Kirby G5..

I had a G5 for a few years. I always wanted a Kirby and found one on Ebay at a decent price. Now I can say, I just don't see what the big deal is about them, or at least that model. It's ridiculously heavy, cumbersome to use, the tools are a total pain to put on, and I sucked up a penny on the...

    Wards Clean anywhere Vac

Did anyone notice the price on the Micro Wave was almost $500 and that was with $100 off. I guess I never realized how expensive those things were back then. We didn't get our first microwave until the mid 80's and I think then it was like $250. Times sure have changed!

Miele White Pearl won't turn on

The vac shop called today, said it was the speed selector switch. It will run about $125 for the repair. Honestly don't know if that's a good price or a bad one but I told them to go ahead. Can't afford a new vac right now and would hate to get rid of a nice vac like this, but no more repairs...

Miele White Pearl won't turn on

tried all the tests you guys suggested but still no go. I'm suspecting the power switch itself, doesn't "click" when you press it, feels kind of odd. Fortunately there is a Miele dealer right here in town....wonder if they would take it in on trade for a new "Twist" ?

Miele White Pearl won't turn on

Morgan, I looked all over for a reset button. Any idea where it might be? Thanks Jim

Miele White Pearl won't turn on

My White Pearl just suddenly died. Worked when I put it away and now... nothing... no hum no nothing? Any ideas what could be wrong with her?

    Hoover Linx

I've been wanting a good battery powered vac for a while and I've been looking at the Linx but thought they were mad expensive. Even a "factory reconditioned" one on Ebay would run about $100 plus shipping. At Kohl's today, they had them on sale for $159 and with some merchandise credits and a...

    Recommendations on cordless quick vac.

Anyone have any experience with any of the new cordless vacs. I would like something to do a quick pass over pet hair etc. Been looking at the Hoover Lynx, Dirt Devil, and a Shark. Lynx is mad expensive though. Electrolux ErgoRapido gets some really bad reviews so I think that one is out.

This Christmas I am getting a.....

I guess I'm in the minority...... I had a G4 and never really liked it. I got it used on eBay and it was pristine when it arrived. I found its heft and inconvenience to use tools to be a major drawback. It was a very good cleaner on regular carpeting, but using it on my wool area rugs was...

    Hoover Model 61

Funny, my 61 looks exactly like yours, including scuffs, scrapes and bad paint job. It was my Grandmothers and still in use at my Mom's house in Michigan. Next time I'm home I'll either bring it back with me or at least take a picture.

    Dyson's

Ok boys, play nice! :) I had a Kirby g4, always wanted one and then when I got it... ehhhhh. No big whoop. I found it cumbersome, heavy, and not very convenient to use. A great cleaner though, but lugging it up and downstairs was a chore. I gave it away to a member of the club when I moved. I...

    Dyson's

What is everyone's opinions on Dyson? I always thought they were kind of junky, but after looking at them at Sears yesterday, I think my opinion might be changing. I'm looking for an upright that is quiet, powerful, and lightweight. The DC 25 Ball caught my attention. I might be able to snag one...

sorry about the double post, not quite sure how that happened!

    Holy Crap!

I have the exact same White Pearl, thanks to a very nice member from this club, and I just love it. Mine also came with a separate wand and floor brush so switching between carpets and bare floors is easy. My only complaint would be how heavy the machine is. I had a Miele Red Star before and its...
