thanks i appreciate the help. i got some parts from another machine, but the brush holder (bakelite?) covered tubes are broken.

? the motor runs but is there any other way to get the right size so the brush caps match with the armature? how many fans is it supposed to have? what did the original motor look like(inside)?

this model XI i thought strange the cord had been wired directly without the removable socket. i have a bayonet style from a long lost soul and wanted to wire it in. this is what i found inside-what happened here?
