I am looking for any literature, or parts, for a Black & Decker Model No 95

George, I can't be of any help to you. But damn, your Black & Decker is ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL! And I bet it's probably extremely rare too. I wish you the best of luck in finding all the parts, accessories & literature you need to complete it.

    Electrolux Ambassador 3

Antoine, That's a really nice Ambassador III you got there! And a terrific price for both vacuums too. The power nozzle is original on that, hasn't been modified like Paul thinks. Your hose looks like it's a grey one from a Ambassador II, slightly earlier than this mid 90s. Nice that you got the...

Happy Friday — Which of your machines have you enjoyed running today?

Tom - Great choice! How does the DC15 compare to the later Ball models for cleaning performance on rugs?

Happy Friday — Which of your machines have you enjoyed running today?

Well, a couple days ago I ran my Miracle Mate Platinum with TriStar CXL powerhead to clean my apartment. Great vacuum, lots of suction.

    Canadian Electrolux AP vacuum cleaner

Michael, that machine is NOT rare! It may not be commonly seen in America, but it's VERY COMMON to see those Electrolux AP100 canisters come into repair shops needing service even in 2024. And btw, for anyone looking at the pics, if you look at pic 10, the powerhead is not original to this...

    New Kirby model !!

Hey, Right Lane Industries - if you're reading this, take note: When you get LONG discussions on a vacuum collector forum and people mocking and ridiculing your present design by colouring in and making fun of current promotional photos, or you see mocking cartoons or drawings - it's time to...

Looking for information about Kenmore Elite uprights

Both those models are the Direct Drive models. You can tell because the spot on the body where the headlight would go on the standard model has a solid piece of plastic, as the headlights are mounted in the front of the powerhead in the bumper. However, to anyone considering buying the Direct...

repair Rainbow D4c electric vacuum hose

That's just a simple straight suction hose. What I would do to repair that is, cut out the damaged section of hose material, and buy a threaded hose cuff from a local vac shop. Put your metal handle in and voila! Repaired hose. And the next time, DON'T LEAVE THE HOSE ATTACHED TO THE WAND! The...

repair Rainbow D4c electric vacuum hose

I agree with Les....heat shrinking would be the best, simplest solution to repairing your hose. A shame that didn't happen at the handle end....in that case, you would just simply shorten the hose slightly.

Looking for pre-war 1920's Hoover Coffee Can Bags

Liam If you can find the pattern for a Hoover bag, I would buy a black Kirby cloth bag, take it and the pattern for the Hoover bag into a promotional wear shop, and have them do it for you. Most local promotional wear companies make T Shirts in what's known as the Silk Screening...

Potential New Kirby Vacuum Model Discussion

Juju93, aren't you being a tad bit harsh there? I think the box design and the Zippbrush label look classy - not tacky or overdone. I personally think the Avalir Platinum is a bit too "black" looking for my liking, but it's still a nice machine. Speaking of favorite Kirby G series colours, I...

    Help in identifying Electrolux

Morgan, that is so nice of you to offer Pat some spare tools! To be so generous to a total stranger on the Internet is heartwarming to see. Pat, I would leave it alone and leave the strap in place. Unless you find a reproduction handle, any you find online for sale are likely going to have...

Potential New Kirby Vacuum Model Discussion

Tolivac Oh no! I am so sorry to hear of what happened! That's just about the worst thing that can happen. The important thing is, you're alive and all that stuff can be replaced in time....the one thing that can't be replaced is YOU, and thankfully the fire didn't get you. Best of luck with...

    FRANKLIN SUPREME Redux

Stephen, nobody is messing with you! I only made positive comments in this thread....no need for you to accuse me of negativity. Contrary to popular belief, I am NOT all that negative like some of the Vacuum Queens on this site think I am. :P

    FRANKLIN SUPREME Redux

Wow....very nice find Charles! Nice to see it in great shape, hear the PREEEEENNNN the Birtman motor makes, and also to see the Sears Catalog photo of it. So much for it being entry level like we all thought eh?! I actually like the look of it....it is plain, but still very stylish and very...

    517 kirby

WOW! What a beauty, even right down to the original bag! I assume the cord is a replacement? Looks like a red one from a Classic III.

Hoover Anniversary Windtunnel Supreme or Royal Cleanseeker ProSeries Rebadge

Victor, there is also a vac shop here in London that has 1 of these Royals new for sale too. If you're interested, look up GR Smith Vacuum London Ontario. They will ship.

    Robot Hoover Junior Clone

Jake Stockinger, I don't think the company behind the Robot water filtration canister vacuum and the one who made the Robot upright are the same. I remember the logo used on the Robot upright is different than the one on the Robot canister.

    Robot Hoover Junior Clone

Mike, good luck in getting the Robot upright fixed. Ya know, I have found that machine fascinating since Kirbyloverdan posted in his thread years ago that he had one! I have to wonder why it was so short lived? One would think with it being a Hoover Junior clone, and how popular and well...

Is there a special tool to extract brass sleeve from brush holder for Eureka Roto-Matic 805

Ben, for those Ametek carbon brushes, you DON'T extract the brass sleeve from the plastic holder - when you buy new carbon brushes, it comes as 1 piece new, and designed to be replaced that way. Take your carbon brushes to your local repair shop to buy replacements, and you will see what I am...
