    Weird Kirby Mattress cleaning contraptions

Owen & Amtraksebo1997 Your dogs are very adorable! You're lucky to have them and all the snuggles and unconditional love they give you :-)

    Hoover Legacy series (Duros)

Dakota, that particular example you have looks like it may have been distributed shortly after TTI bought Hoover. Since Whirlpool retained ownership of the Maytag name, they probably had to do this to avoid legal trouble with Whirlpool. These rebadged Sanyo canisters were quite good -...

How do I remove The motor housing cover Guardian C134C Electrolux

Mike, that's not a red rubber band, it's red tape. Probably put on there to increase the motor housing diameter slightly so when you put the hose clamp on the motor housing it makes it seal well. The motor is held onto the housing by friction, just give it a good pull and it should come right...

    Regina Housekeeper Commercial??

Wow! That's definitely a unique find. One thing I find surprising is, why would Regina even dare try to market a commercial vacuum?! Word was already spreading for a few years about just how bad the quality of these uprights were. So how they thought they could convince corporate buyers to buy...

    Most unpleasant-sounding vacuum ever?

Regina Electrikbroom I never was a fan of how these sounded, and the powerbrush version was even worse!

    New Big-Box Vacuums?

Hart A Walmart brand that's made by TTI. Mainly Hoover/Dirt Devil designs made to sell at a lower price point. Also, Cleva has some of the Kenmore designs relabeled as Vacmaster.

Working Kirby Classic III - as-is, or I can rebuild for you

Rob - just wanted to say, I admire you for your original post and offering this Kirby and offering to sell and restore it to a member here. Very commendable of you, considering Kirby now wants $750 to do a Factory Rebuild - and it wouldn't come back with original parts! I do hope that someone...

    Swedish Electrolux Commercial vacuums

Hi Santiago, that is a very nice Electrolux Z73 you were given. Shouldn't take much to put that back into mint condition. :-) As for getting your hose repaired, Electrolux AB in North America won't be much help to you. They pulled out of North America in 2017, because their Hungarian made...

    Still looking

John, you might find it easier to find a Electrolux LXI on Ebay, scrap your old one and save the parts from it instead of finding the aftermarket wheels that mount on the runners. It's been my experience that most aftermarket parts are harder to find once it's discontinued than the OEM part is...

    Will Full-Size Straight-Suction Uprights Make a Comeback?

Mike, I actually feel the opposite of how you feel about the Sebo Felix. It's one vacuum I have grown to dislike! It's VERY top heavy, and puts out a lot of hot air while vacuuming floors or carpets. So much so that I won't use it in the summer months from May to September. The swivel neck on...

    SEBO Balance A1

Well Gang, SEBO have FINALLY introduced their own stick vacuum! And this one looks promising. Yes, it is a Dyson style machine, and it does look like SEBO have partnered with an Asian manufacturer for this product. But, this gets A LOT of things right - like the removable battery - and this...

    Electrolux olyimpia power nozzle

Just a warning to anyone reading this - The Perfect C103/Clean Obsessed powerhead and it's parts are NOT the same as the Electrolux PN5 and newer powerheads. The "Wheel Axle Cover", as it's called by Aerus, the Perfect part will fit in place of the original part. However, there was a version...

    Central vac recommendations

Kirbyman65, I would suggest you ignore Nathaniel's suggestion to get the Hoover GUV. The Hoover central vacs are cheaply made with a Ametek Advantek single stage motor that has a VERY SHORT lifespan- the only thing good about the motor is the replacement cost! I can't speak to the Bissell...

    My Electrolux trio

Antoine, it could be one of the bag door contacts that sends the power through to the electric hose may be faulty. This happened back in 2020 to my Electrolux Epic 6500SR. There is a fuse built into the wire that can fail. Try opening up the bag door, cut out the fuse on the wire leading up to...

    What is everyone’s beater vacuum?

Right now, I am using a Hoover Windtunnel Anniversary Edition S3670 canister with a Royal Pro Series Power Pak powerhead as my beater vacuum. I wouldn't call it a "beater vacuum", but it's also one that if it died tomorrow I wouldn't lose any sleep over it or go to great lengths to replace it...

    Cats next to vacuun cleaners

David, those 2 pics of your cat with the vacuum are sooooo cute! Looks like he wanted to give his cheek a good scratch with the brush. But hey, I am seeing a new vacuum there too. When did you get the Henry? Are you liking it? Give us a mini review please :)

Cast Cutter with Eureka Vacuum Cleaner

Paul, Pic 4 looks more like it's a Oreck XL Commercial Canister rebadge to me, not a Royal. Look in the archives, there are some threads on the Oreck.

    Synthetic bags

Why not try using a Kirby HEPA Cloth bag? I think that would work since it's one of the largest upright bags on the market. Take off the cardboard collar, close the hole up with staples or glue, and then cut the side of the bag open and line the GE cloth motor bag with it.

vintage compact power head score ebay c8

Nice score Antoine! That will go nicely with your yellow C8. Just as a cautionary measure, I would order a Eureka powerhead motor to have on hand as a spare though - if it has the original motor and it's from the 70s, that motor could be on borrowed time. And with how quickly the world has...

Looking to buy a full size carpet cleaner.

For starters, I am referring to the Royal MRY7910- link to the YouTube video on it below. Like the Hoover, you may be able to find one New Old Stock, like those 2 Hoover SteamVac machines were, or find a gently used model. As for the Hoover SteamVac not having a brushroll or rotating brushes...
