I like the Eureka and the Windtunnel the same personally. But they both are better at certain points. The Eureka is much less clog prone, is MUCH quieter and easier to tolerate soundwise, the bag is VERY easy to change, it has a decent Hepa filter design, and it's not as cheap feeling as a S/P...

joe22 I'm old fashioned, I usually levitate towards high quality, tried and true, or both. The Guardsman meets my "old fashioned" criteria perfectly lol.

Eurekaprince I don't find it any easier to move the switch in any position. I guess it's a common thing amongst the Windtunnel self propelled and the Boss 4870 to have relatively easy to break bare floor switches.

eurekastar I think I read about your issue with the barefloor setting on the Boss while strolling through the archives. Interestingly the bare floor switch on mine doesn't feel like it's always about to break off - I haven't had any issue with it.
