Tempo..? I beg to differ. =P

The Tempo and windtunnel were the exact same thing anyway. That Windtunnel rrrrr Tempo looks pretty nice, and under 100 dollars, compared to the real windtunnel that usually goes for 139 dollars.

    Kirby Avalier

I wonder how much they're gonna charge for this new "Kirby" especially if it's plastic, sure it will be a buttload of money even if it were. cough dyson all plastic and overpriced cough.

    oh no, a burst bag!

knock on wood, I've never had a burst bag before.....but my brother vacuumed his room with no bag in the Eureka canister one day.....luckily it has a filter/screen on the fan intake...

Might have been a house at the bottom of the sea the way that thing looks... hehehe

    Post War Kirby Sentria

It's AMAZING that a vacuum that couldn't be over 4 years old got to be like that in such short time. You'd think it was found in the bottom of the lake or something.

    just out of curiosity...

I can picture it now, Rainbow advertising their vacuum as having a new "dough maker" feature with a dough hook added in!

Something to take my mind off of the week I've had....

my favorite Kirby too. One of these days I need to get an orange bag for mine, so it looks all original again.

    Not again, people never learn

If I were you, I would be asking her why they ran it over wet stuff again THEN hosing it down!!! I have zero tolerance for people doing things like that. That's just ridiculous.

    vidoe comparing hoover to Eureka

The Eureka was noticeably more hungry for that paper then the Hoover. They both did quite good though.

would you do it? Should I? help me decide!

My thoughts are exactly as yours about the vacuum. With many vacuums it's a matter of whether the good outweighs the bad or not, in my case it certainly does outweigh the bad with the Smart Vac. The Windtunnel and this Smart Vac have enough minor dissimilarities that I like them both equally...

would you do it? Should I? help me decide!

If you want it, Don't hesitate! Yes the Smart Vac has a few design flaws such as the tough foot pedal and the flimsy-ish brushroll switch, but if treated with care those things won't give you any issue. I don't know what you'd have to vacuum up to make one clog - it has a huge air channel...

This Makes No Sense At All...

150 more you say? The thing better be silver plated for that much extra. lol

JCPennys Fall/Winter 1997 [High Quality Large Photos]

I didn't know the Mighty Mite has been around for at least that long. haha, Dirt Devil's still looked half real there in 1997.

Toggle Electric Switch on Hoover Tempo Upright

powertank The switch on my Boss Smart Vac never arcs, and it feels much much better than a Tempo's switch. Eurekaprince: I will say between what you've said and the Tempo that I've used myself it looks like the arcing is inherent with the particular switch used on them, I remembered after...

Toggle Electric Switch on Hoover Tempo Upright

When a machine draws alot of current and you go to pull the plug out while it's still running and it sparks.... It's the same thing as the switch, it's just simply arcing right when you pull contact by flipping the switch. I see it happen with alot of things, if you ever flipped a lightswitch...

    The Guardsman FINALLY Came!!

Constellation The plastic quality is not too thrilling, it's alright - doesn't seem like it'll break in 2 seconds, but it surely doesn't seem nearly as good as the originals and definitely not as good as my Sanitaire S634.

    The Guardsman FINALLY Came!!

Sanimatic I find that my Sanitaire commercial vacs are more gentle on the carpet yet clean much better than residential/plastivacs. the "homestyle" vacuums often tend to have very hard bristles while my Sanitaires have softer but firm bristles that are nicer to the carpet. The same applies to...

    The Guardsman FINALLY Came!!

rexaird That is indeed a clear fan. arh1953: That's one of the reasons I picked that model over the lower end Guardsman, cuz I like how it takes shape of the Decade 80. eurekastar: no the brushroll doesn't have beaters on it, the way the bristles are on one side of the brushroll it seems...

Let's Compare: Eureka Smart Vac & Hoover Windtunnel Supreme Bagged

huh It sounds like my own Smart Vac must be a "lucky" one, I've had no complaints about it's structural rigidity besides the fact that it creeks, but nothing wobbles and mine feels very solid. I've never used a Smart Vac besides my own, so I can only speak for mine.
