    Hoover Commercial Windtunnel Habitat Find

The prices on the Hoover website are usually list price which is always sky high compared to reality.

    My New Sanitaire Contractor Upright

LOL I've been watching that awhile wondering what they would really send. I dont think a bathroom sink drain Is worth that price though.

The latest addition to my toilet collection.

Cool find! I hope you find a tank lid for it and get that leak on it to stop! You should throw that plunger in the trash now that you have that water guzzler!

Mine is not Suez Tan, but rather Venetian Pink. I can't wait to see videos of your Compact!

The latest addition to my toilet collection.

I'm gonna venture a guess and say May 4th 1959. My Cadet has a regular year stamped Into it though, as well as a letter with a 59 at the end of it. Mine was December 9th (I think) 1959.

I'm HEEEEEERE again, in the Holy Land!

I didn't realize people still had a Digital Slim stuck up their ass about seeing a Dyson in a Hoover store. What Decade is this again?

That's interesting with the Trylon and Wellworth tank that's what I suspected! Those must not be terribly common as I've never seen that style tank before. I love that catalog page! I'll take one of each in every color! My basement rig is pretty simple, the house was built with the basement...

I love that Compact Cadet! That tank does look like a Compact Cadet tank. The tank on your Wellworth appears to actually go with a Trylon, an interesting combination!

    My 1986 Pontiac Fiero SE

Awesome! My neighbor has a silver 1986 Fiero SE 2.8 automatic that he's owned since 1991. It's been parked in his garage for 7 years because it needs alot of work including a new exhaust manifold though... I wish he'd restore it!

An old friend from my mother's past (The return of my first Hoover)

Gorgeous machine Matt! I want it! So nice that you got it back after all these years. You sure would think that machine came from the vault...

The latest addition to my toilet collection.

I would drop everything low flow for a 1962-1976 Cadet if I could get my hands on one that was close or not overpriced! Although my '59 Cadet WILL NOT CLOG it does tend to leave "particles" behind and result in needing a second flush which in the end uses up 8 gallons of water. The later...

Most all low flows are easily rigged to flush a full tank which is 2-2.5 gallons or more per flush. I have all low flows in our house right now, and I like the lower water usage due to that. (having the Cadet or other high flow in my bathroom alone raised the consumption by an extra 1,200...

The latest addition to my toilet collection.

John Mine are stored in the basement with the exception of the "Standard" Cadet as it's the treasure of my collection, that one is stored in an unused bedroom. They've all been sanitized to the point where you could serve dinner from them.

The latest addition to my toilet collection.

Im pretty sure the whole state of California requires toilets be replaced with a toilet that flushes 1.28 gallons or less when a home is sold. Idk if that law applies to showerheads and faucet aerators too but I think it does.

Any Recommendations for a Gas Dryer?

A little late to the party but... I've repaired every major brand of dryer and i've noticed certain brands/designs collect more lint inside the cabinet then others. My absolute favorite is Whirlpools tried and true classic design with the lint filter in the top. The gas models are reliable...

The latest addition to my toilet collection.

I'm a collector of toilets myself. Everyone looks at me like I have two heads if it somehow slips out that I collect them. In reality it's just like collecting any other vintage item. If your gonna put together a bathroom out of vintage fixtures it's gonna need a toilet to match too! I have a...

    A slew of new toys

I love all those machines! I've always wanted a Royal, and I'm gonna get a Professional Series with the headlight! I've had that same T-Series bagged for 3 years now and love it. And btw I drooled when I saw the Bicentennial Convertible!

Tarantula Arms Is Getting A Facelift

The opulent glow of your vanity area is breathtaking! The lighting really makes everything pop. The whole bathroom is something to marvel over really! When's the photo shoot for the magazines taking place? Oh btw, did you end up replacing the toilet too? I think that's one thing that was never...

    Was your family thrifty?

Sandy That link IMO describes the 50s-60s pretty well. My mother grew up much like that, in a neighborhood full of identical tract homes built in the 50s that got modified dramatically over the years. My dad's parents built their first home in 1950 out of red brick, then added a bedroom...

    Was your family thrifty?

My grandparents were all this way, having been from the WWII era (if not serving in WWII itself), same for my great aunts & uncles. My parents are a little different, they are half invested in the throwaway society and half old fashioned, but in a somewhat sick twist. Some people I know are...
