Need a modern vac with less than 55" h20 (suction)

Although there aren't many modern uprights that would have so little suction, I think some of the smaller to compact size uprights might fall in that range. Specifically the bissell powerforce compact model 2112 (walmart), the dirt devil quick lite model UD20015 (or similar, dirt devil has...

Fine dust buildup on Fantom brushroll

I'm not so sure static would cause dust to accumulate on the brushroll since the fantoms all had wood brushrolls (correct me if I'm wrong). I find a lot of vacuums do this including more powerful ones, I think its just that dust gets stuck on the surface sometimes. And same goes for the brushes.

    Shark EVOPOWER Hand Vacuum (Japan)

It has a digital motor which provides better suction than almost any other cordless handheld I have used, with the main exception being dysons. Plus the attachments are well designed to optimize performance. It is really well optimized for ease of use and speed. The battery life is only about...

    Shark EVOPOWER Hand Vacuum (Japan)

Shark W1 I've had one since December, it is very powerful for it's size. I really like it.

    Dyson v11

Only about a year after the v10, the v11 is now out. I guess dyson is going for an annual release schedule. Looks like a marginal upgrade to the v10. I knew something was up when v10's started going on sale the last few months. https://www.dyson.com/sticks/dyson-v11-overview.html

    Why I like Dyson

I also have a dc01, and early one with the early lettering style before they had their logo down. I also want to get a dc04 one day, I imagine since most of the 04 is similar to an 07 a 120v dc07 motor could be fitted but I'm not positive.

    Why I like Dyson

I'm not a troll. And I am not saying this to upset anyone. I've thought about making a detailed, well reasoned thread about why I don't care for kirbys. I haven't because I knew it probably wouldn't do anything other than make a mess. I don't post on threads about kirbys because I don't know...

    Best cordless stick vac?

I've used a fair number of cordless vacs in the last few years but there are so many constantly coming out it's nearly impossible to keep up! I do have a dirt devil power swerve though and it isn't half bad for the price. It is cheap and certainly feels like it but the performance is fairly...

    Dyson V10 Dok

Patrick, I have very much enjoyed reading your posts and the pictures of your collection you have shared. I really enjoy vacuums from every era as you do, I'm sorry I haven't replied to your posts very often. I'm still on the lookout for a good deal on a black and decker powerseries pro based on...

Making light of a dead Electrolux

    VCCC Convention 2018

I'm sad I won't get to see everyone this year. I have been to every one since 2007 and have thorougly enjoyed each. This summer I have a few summer classes I am taking, and even skipping a couple days for the convention wouldn't be a good idea. I'm really hoping I can make it to the next one but...

Interesting strange super rare Sunbeam vacuum from eBay

I have one as well, and I think I have an original pack of bags for it that a friend found and gave to me. It's an interesting little machine, picks up fairly well. I heard there was also a yellow version without a rotating brush but I have never seen one.

    New Eureka?

I've seen those for a few months now here. I don't think it looks too bad, it has a metal handle and they give you a seperate brush. crevice, and upholstery tool which is rarely seen anymore. At that price point there aren't many expectations to live up to.

HOW DID THIS END UP IN THE US???

Interesting Very interesting! It appears to be a German model, pretty sure the sticker on the handle translates to "no loss of suction". Very nice find and a keeper for sure.

Worlds first BAGGED Dyson is born

That looks awesome! I look forward to seeing the video. I also look forward to seeing your kirby dust deputy setup. I set up a dust deputy for my kirbys last summer, it works pretty well but my set up is a little bulky. I'd bet yours will be much better!

    Black & Decker PowerSeries Pro

Went and checked my local walmart, sadly they didn't have anything discounted like yours did. I'd say you got a great deal, adn I'll keep my eyes out!

    Black & Decker PowerSeries Pro

Thanks for the heads up! I'll make a trip there as soon as I can and see if there are any deals going on at my local walmart.

    New Oreck Cordless

I agree the specs look pretty good on paper. I'm guessing the pods are basically a bag. It also looks like it is direct air, judging by the design of the intake. Also looks like the outside of the "pod" storage system is a pourous material to diffuse air. It certainly is interesting.

    New Oreck Cordless

Just found more information at this link. I think the price might be a tad high. http://theoreckstore.net/oreck-pod-technology-cordless-vacuum/
