I have a theory, of course it's just a guess but I think they were all trying to make major sales into that bagless arena. Take that with what you will I could be wrong.

I'm guessing here, but probably a Hoover. Back in medieval times the power in the room came from the overhead light socket so your first vacuums actually didn't plug in they screwed in and that meant you had to take the light out so the headlight had a purpose as there was no longer an overhead...

Totally agree Edgar, it is a sweet spot in their production at least in my thinking and for my situation.

This is a favorite model for me, it's my third one and probably the best mechanical condition of all of them. Sounds amazing.

I had an early one years ago I purchased at Sam's club I would say it was just okay, but there was a port at the bottom where you could empty it with a canister or shop vac that was kind of handy.

My thoughts exactly! And my pad with remnants of wax was sitting right there so I gave it a shot. 😁

My mother purchased an early model from Montgomery Ward and I believe it was $99, it was not shall we say my favorite.
