    Brilliant, thanks Simon. i thought it was from around 1965 unfortunately its lost its origonal bag and hood cover but the furniture guard and handle are still there, its a great cleaner.

    I havent posted any photos of it so how could you know it was November 67? It has 1334A stamped onto to the cast alloy casing and it is the Hop and Jonquil green version so it could be around 1965. Cheers Mark

    Yes on the newer style serial numbers you can from about 1969 onwards but this is older it goes by production numbers by year.

    Ok i checked my Hoover instruction manual and it says connect to a 13amp plug fused at 3amp so Twocybloke you were right enough and i will change my fuses. i think the cunfusion is with the plug if it does say 13amp on it doesnt mean that you have to put a 13amp fuse in it as was said earlier...

    All my machines have 13amp fuses and the only one with an origonal plug is my 1354A which has a Manweb plug on where it was purchased many years ago but not by me.

    I have a 1976 Senior 6525E which is our everyday vac and a 1969 652A which i use for research and fiddling about with to see how everything works, and 2 Juniors a 1974 1354A and a 1973 1346A which i gave to the cleaner in my work today.

    Does anyone have an exploded diagram for the Hoover 652A on off switch? i am reassembling it and want to make sure i do it properly. Thanks Mark

    Hoover 6525E

    My Hoover Senior 6525E shows on the rating plate that it is 400/600w but on a 6525C i saw today it shows 650/420w does this mean mine has a different motor to earlier models? Any info appreciated Mark
