    @ Jamie A pair of plier to hold the shaft then the thread guard should come off easy peasy.

    My mum had a Turbopower 2 i am still trying to remember what model though this has been a good source for reasearch. Where were the Turbopwers assembled? was it Cambuslang? i did think they might be assembled in France though. Can anyone confirm.

    Two cor only has the Live and Nuetral through it and 3 core has live nuetral and earth through it.

    Yeah thats exactly what happened to the Senior i need to replace the flex on, it had been fitted with a thick three core flex which was far to big for it so it had to go.

    On another not it says 1900w on the cleaner but the rating plate says 1800w Watts that all about :-) See above picture.

    Hi can anyone tell me where the rating plate is on an Electrolux 502? just got one today off Ebay for a whopping 99p it runs great but i think i,ll get it serviced though. Its also missing its furniture guard, how easy are these to get? Here it is.

    The only difference between mine and yours is mines is 115v There is no difference in performance between the 110v and 240v i have found

    Well thats something else learned i always thought this way as my Senior displays the 400w lo 600w hi on the rating plate so just assumed. The Henry's i have at work are all 110v for industrial use they really get treated rough and still keep going. Great machines.

    I agree i dont like wasting things but this thing stinks really bad its like its sucked up sick and doghairs and alsorts and i am too busy at work to clean it all out and it probobaly needs new filters so its not really worth it. If i did have the time to clean it up i would give it charity...
