    Kirby G5 Handle Question

Hey Guys! Picked up a Kirby G5 the other day for $20. It's an 8.5 out of 10-just needs a good cleaning. I don't have a G5 in my collection that is all cleaned and shiny though I have several of them waiting in the wings. My question is this: Did Kirby change the screw for the handle back...

New Member, new Kirby Generation 3 owner

Some Kirby Tips Hi Andrew! Welcome! Any time I wash a Kirby bag (and they can be washed successfully) I wash them in COLD water which helps to reduce pilling. I learned this from a fabric store. Use gentle cycle and put it through a second rinse. I personally would not recommend using...

    Need Assistance in Diagnosing D80

Sounds like Sounds like the speed control switch is bad. It makes contact for the light but no contact for the motor. I am willing to bet this is the problem. Direct connect the motor to see if it runs.

    Sears Kenmore Intuition PowerFlow Upright

Hey Guys! Can anyone tell me how to date a Kenmore Intuition Upright? This one also features PowerFlow technology which according to Sears' website, doesn't lose suction as the bag fills. Mine is the red one which I don't have in front of me so I don't have a pic. But here is a link...

How do you clean a kirby?

See Thread 33949 Hi Josh! See a threat that I previously posted 33949. I have been using this for quite some time and it is wonderful! And, you can get it at most hardware stores. It's inexpensive also and you get quite a bit! My post was written before I started using it on a regular...

    Kirby Heritage -Orange Bag

Thanks Guys! I think you all helped me figure this one out! It is the same set up as the disposable bag setup. I don't know what Kirby was thinking of when they came up with that style bag topper. Many times they pop off of the bracket when in use. And it seems like a very awkward way to attach...

    Kirby Heritage -Orange Bag

No... No... it doesn't have that topper. It had nothing on the bag. I did see a two-finger hook type thing on ebay. But it didn't look like the topper you mentioned.

    Kirby Heritage -Orange Bag

Hi Guys! Can one of you other Kirby gurus tell me what the setup is for the Kirby Heritage with cloth dump style bag? I recently found one in decent shape but the bag was just hanging because there was no hanger, top piece, or "hook" from which to hang. A picture would be good if you have one...

    Dumping vacuums at my Goodwill?!

Not-So GW... GW has gotten a big ass these days! They are looking up donations that come in on sites such as fleebay, and the like, and then pricing items the same as what they see them LISTED for, NOT for what they actually sold for which often times is far less. I wouldn't donate anything...

    Kirby Tradition Upgrade

Thanks, Thanks, Texaskirbyguy! What I am looking for is that actual original switch. I have several Traditions as they are my favorite Kirby model. Perhaps because it's blue-my favorite vacuum color! Thanks for the help!

    Kirby Tradition Upgrade

Yes That's the switch I was looking for. I have two model Traditions that are original-one is pristine with the original speed switch setup, and the other one is a little finicky.

    Electrolux Ultralux LX

Electrolux Model Diamond Jubilee Hey Guys! Did you all forget about the Diamond Jubilee? It's also a model 1521. Isn't this model in there with the aforementioned models, too? And, Eurekastar......my recently acquired Diamond Jubilee also has that same crack in the back only on the right...

    Electrolux Diamond Edition

Hey Charlie! How the hell are you? I never thought of that! I will do as you suggested. But, first I need to get a genuine screw. Do you have one by chance?

    Electrolux Diamond Edition

Regarding replacing the screw... So, can you guys tell me how do you replace the screw that attaches the cover to the body? You can't access it directly unless you were to use an offset screw driver like the "SkewDriver". Is this correct?
