I actually see quite a few of those at the thrift shop over here...almost bought one, but I have one of the new "classic" ones by dirt devil had to buy it on the road to Oregon...the cats kept getting litter on the floors of the hotel room...and i didnt want them getting upset at me!! Plus...

The universe is groaning over this incomprehensible tragedy

True, an honest seller should post questions and responses. Im just coming from the buyers perspective, as a collector those types of things are automatically questioned! Ive made that mistake before with one of those bags and learned from it. I guess its just important that the kirby was...

The universe is groaning over this incomprehensible tragedy

I agree, but it should be the responsibilty of the buyer to ask and inquire as much as possible, especially in an instance like this where the condition is questionable. Ebay is always tricky like that. I'd love to buy a Sentria...but I really dont trust anyone that is selling these machines...

    Some of my own

I cant believe how many Royals are in the Portland area, I think it has to do with Starks having such a large supply of them. In Michigan Royals are extinct, except the oldies that are still floating around. The only reason I bought it was because Ive always had a good experience with them...

Thanks for the tip! Ive noticed that the DS50 has always been rather a beast to push comparatively to newer ones, I shall try it out!

    Some of my own

Thanks! The brushroll in the class 3 is the original...they all have their original stuff...suprisingly, and all work well! In my last house I bought a brand new Eureka commercial and didnt take it with us (gave it to the folks). Now im glad I have my Kirbys back, forgot how well they did. Now...

    Airway newer (commercial?)

Was at the thrift shop today...nothing there except this big plain white vacuum...said Airway. It was all white, and had a bagless canister in the front...kind of a teal/light blue color. Anyone have an idea of what this was...or how common they are? Never seen one before...if I remember...

    Some of my own

Typical thread showing vacs I have aquired. Nothing too special just yet! I had to use a different site to post the pics...image quality is too large...they had to be resized even on there to be uploaded!! The DS50 I have has been with me since I was about 14, found it literally in the...

Dyson: Can they really live up to what they say?

..".there's more than enough debris down there in the carpets than any one vacuum could extract. Each of us have differing needs in our various geographic zones, our home circumstances and house conditions" Excellently said!

Dyson: Can they really live up to what they say?

This is what I've seen of Oregon...or at least the Portland area...which is why im headed back to Michigan next month! We're not stupid or hick like....we just don't have the "high education" that most of the big cities like to boast. We have our educated bunch...its just not seen as top...

Dyson: Can they really live up to what they say?

and to add to that I dont think ANYone in my area likes the price tag of a Kirby....OR Dyson. Again, this is a regional thing...not the gospel or opposition of anyones thoughts. More of an observance!
