Is Simplicity Now Made By Bissell?

Lesinutah I think it would be tough to find info on what company supplies Bissell and Simplicity with their machines. Neither company owns manufacturing facilities in China, as far as I'm aware they both contract with suppliers to make their Chinese made products.

Fine dust buildup on Fantom brushroll

I think the brushroll and entire bottom area of most vacuum cleaners get dusty with use, but the black color of the Fantom seems to just show it better than other colors would.

    New Sanitaire Quickboost Cordless Upright

Damn, I was hoping it would be something new. Just another Tacony cordless.

    Why I dislike Dyson

niclonnic... While I certainly would rather use a bagged cleaner instead of a Dyson, I think it is important to realize that the DC07 is quite an old machine relative to how long Dyson has been around. Many changes have been made in 15 years

    Robot Vacuum Debate

vacmaster.... I have the same model as you. I have not been impressed with its navigation, it seems a bit random at times, but I have been very impressed with its ability to not get stuck like Roombas that I've owned in the past have. I have the same issue as you with it going in crooked lines...

Fair Price for a new Aerus Commercial Upright

Ray in Richmond is a nice guy, but I don't think he's too fond of collectors. I felt quite a bit of judgement while I was in his store once to buy some bags and Floor Pro brushes after he asked why I had a Renny style canister since they're so old. I guess he doesn't mind if we spend money on...

What carpet cleaner do you use?

I alternate between my Rug Doctor and my Electrolux Floor Pro. "Dry" cleaning doesn't quite do the job when the carpets are really dirty but it's good enough for a quick refresh every couple months. I continue to be very impressed by my Rug Doctor though, it's the model that has both a vibrating...

    Dyson DC26 City...

I don't have one anymore but I used to, try posting a picture of your machine and maybe someone can tell if a piece is missing or not?

    Robot Vacuum Debate

I'm also a fan of robot vacuums. I have a dog and two cats, I just don't have enough time to vacuum my house daily. My Samsung Powerbot does a decent job and very rarely gets stuck on anything. I've also owned a few Roombas which all had issues getting stuck, but my favorite robot vac has been a...

My $63.99 Miele... Todays Bed Bath & Beyond Bargain Find

Nice! And I thought that I got a sweet deal with my C2 Electroplus marked down to $300 from $600 at BB&B. Mine was also due to the box being damaged.

Robot Vacuum Cleaners - Novelty or Useful Tool?

I've owned about a dozen robot vacuums throughout the years, they're really handy to have. I have two cats and a dog which all shed constantly. I currently use a Samsung Powerbot and I'm happy with it, but it isn't as methodical as the Neato that I used to have. I do believe the Samsung cleans...

Two prong "pig-tail" versions, Thermax AF-1

Wow that filter does look quite dirty, is the long plastic tube in the water reservoir? There's a plastic tube that should be inserted in the reservoir for dry vacuuming, removed for extraction cleaning. I don't recall my old AF-1 ever having such a dirty filter.

    Tonight on SNL

vacuumdevil Yep, I'd have to agree. Everything on TV is biased one way or another, it's important to look past it.

Question: Door to door bagless upright

Oops, I just saw your other comment lol. It looks like you already know plenty about MLMs, sorry about that crazykirbydude

Question: Door to door bagless upright

crazykirbydude.... Unfortunately, most D2D vacuum companies are MLMs in one way or another. The difference is that a Kirby or Filter Queen will last decades, while the Filtropur would definitely be more difficult to keep running for decades. MLMs like Filtropur are leaning more toward pyramid...

    Tonight on SNL

vacuumdevil You're right, that stat was wrong. I also did some googling and it looks like GE Big Boy appliances don't exist! Good lord, what has this world come to? SNL skits contain made up info for comedy??? Boy, what a surprise that is.

    Good Groomer

Anything with a motorized brushroll should do a decent job keeping the carpet groomed nicely. A Tristar, Aerus/Electrolux, or Royal would be very difficult to find over in the UK, plus you'd have issues with the voltage being different. Kirby has been sold in the UK but you'd be spending much...

Question: Door to door bagless upright

I think you may be talking about the Filtropur, https://filtropur.com/ I've never owned one or even seen one in person, but I've seen a few Youtube videos of it and it sounds like it has a very noisy motor. It's interesting that it seems to use a filter cone filtration system similar to Filter...
