    Vacuums at my Goodwill

Buy the darn Prolux. You haven't really used a real bagged vacuum cleaner and whining about the cost of bags is ridiculous compared to the longevity of bagged vacs (especially Aerus Electrolux machines). In fact, I just ordered a pack of 12 U bags for the Electrolux upright that I have at work...

    Electrolux Reniassance for $30

That's a good deal if they have the attachments and work properly. I used to have a Renaissance and they're good machines, the only flaw would be the electronic controls on the hose handle, mine didn't have any issues but I've read that they can develop problems. It would likely be tough to find...

    G4 brushroll

Look at the listings on Ebay and make sure that it states that the part is genuine and not generic, the descriptions normally mention whether the part is genuine or not. Otherwise you could purchase it directly from Kirby if you're afraid of receiving a generic part.

    My Newest Shark!

I recently bought a Powered Lift Away and I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised by it. I'd only used my Rainbow E2 Blue for a month or so before buying the Shark, so I was surprised that I completely filled the container after cleaning the whole house. They're definitely great vacuums...

Rainbow E2 Platinum electric hose issue

Hi everyone, I have a Rainbow E2 Platinum and I'm having some trouble with the power nozzle. I bought it used from someone who said the hose has a possible short, I have two electric hoses for it and neither one powers the nozzle correctly. At first it worked for a while but now nether hose...

    Hoover Z help

Will They may not be worth fixing for the average consumer who is looking to repair their daily vacuum cleaner, but don't forget that we're collectors and most of us aren't interested in collecting or fixing vacuums just for the monetary value of them.

    Hello! And my new Prolux

Ray is somewhat nice but he is definitely a salesman, he doesn't seem to understand the whole vacuum collecting thing either. I went in to get a box of style R bags and he immediately tried talking me into buying a new machine, telling me how old the Rennaisance is. I mentioned that I collect...

    Replacing an Electrolux 7000 C153A

Do you mind if I ask what's wrong with the cleaner? Btw, the North American Electrolux company changed their name to Aerus around 2003. I believe that the Aerus Legacy is the current equivalent, http://www.aerushome.com/Site/Canisters. You could expect to spend around $1,000 for a new Legacy...

My feelings for my Vorwerk Kobold VK200 + intro of me

Oh! I've watched a number of your videos in the past. They're all very good :) I share your feelings on bagless vacuums, btw. Welcome to the forum and happy vacuuming!

    Hello! And my new Prolux

What? The Walter Reed store is closed? That is such a shame, I was in there maybe two or three months ago and they said they were doing well. The Fredericksburg store closed a few years ago and now we've lost another store in this area. I wonder if the Richmond store is even open still...

    my new Vorwerk VK200

The Vorwerk just looks so practical and modern compared to the Kirby. Many people have an issue with using Kirby vacuums because of their complicated attachments, while the Vorwerk's attachments seem simpler to use while still being even more versatile. I personally prefer dry compound carpet...

What fascinates us about vacuum cleaners.

DrSnuggles I don't think it's really about that, I don't remember being carried by my mom while she vacuumed or anything so my knowledge of that is just from her telling me about it. Interesting interpretation of that though, and I am definitely not a troll. I believe that my interest may be...

What fascinates us about vacuum cleaners.

I have no idea why but I've always been interested in vacuum cleaners. My mom vacuumed daily while carrying me as a baby, and the first thing I walked to ended up being the vacuum cleaner. I have literally no memory of ever not being interested in vacuum cleaners, my parents have told me that...

Bissell Carpet cleaners what do you think?

The Big Green machine that they rent at Lowes is pretty good and seems durable enough. Their other models clean well but they break down pretty quickly...

    Panasonic MC-CG937 snafu

Rob, I have to respectfully disagree with your opinion on Filter Queen's filtration system. If you use genuine cones then you should have no problem with them losing much airflow. Generic cones do clog quickly, but the genuine ones certainly do not.

How good are you at reccomending a vacuum?

Tolivac, Maria's cleaning business would do quite well with a Proteam upright. They clean hard floors and carpets both very well and they have a quick draw hose. They're much more efficient than having to bring two different machines in and out of customer's homes.

    Panasonic MC-CG937 snafu

I'm not sure why it would be causing electrical issues, it may be easier to just purchase a new machine especially if parts are already being held together by zip ties. There isn't much you'll find that is high quality and under $300 brand new. I'd suggest that you look into purchasing a used...
