Brad, To remove the hood flip the vacuum over and there are two screws one on each side that needs removed, the screws are behind the front wheels. Asfor the power issue, either the switch is bad as you stated, or it is possible that one of the wires are disconnected from the switch. Sam

Bobby, I a Eureka belt is bigger and thinner than a Hoover Belt. Using a hoover belt on a Eureka would put more strain on the motor. Sam

Tyler, I love your Concept One, what model is it? That is the same model my church has, I was so tickled tonight to see they still have it, and you couldnt pry it out of my hands, no one but me was allowed to vacuum.

Phillip, You are right, good observation. I vacuumed with a Convertible 584 right before taking the pictures, I wanted the rug to look its best and I didnt want to get any dirt in the Kirby. I got the Kirby back in early June, and I still have not used it, just turned it on a few times

I just hope you are very good with that telescoping wand
