Anyone have any Dirt Devil BroomVac parts?

So, we picked up a decent little BroomVac on eBay, and it arrived today. Anyone care to guess? It was wrapped in shrink wrap and bubble wrap... no box... and the housing ended up breaking at the handle mount during shipping. So, we're on the hunt for a housing to replace it. I may be able to...

    Hoover Or Shark?

Shark Navigator Lift Away! There are 5 Lift Aways between Mike & I and our families. They're all proving to be great machines! My cousin ruined her hose. A simple call to Shark, and they are sending her a new one... no questions asked! Mike's sister's was missing a piece when we opened it...

    Vacuums using H2O filtration

H2O Vac Turbo The Thane H2O Vac Turbo... We got a new one from goodwill.com for $15 + shipping. It's ok... it's worth $15 :) It has decent suction, but the water basin is almost useless, and filtration is another issue. I blew cigarette smoke into it, and, sure enough, the smoke came out the...

Sanitaire Sc886 Vs. Kirby Sentra (Oatmeal/Rice Test)

Sounds like something's restricting airflow in the Kirby, if there was still rice on the brush roll. Maybe an inefficient bag? Something doesn't sound right. Has the Kirby sucked up Carpet Fresh (or similar) on or near damp carpet? That'll clog the fan chamber really bad. I got a G6 to...

Sanitaire Sc886 Vs. Kirby Sentra (Oatmeal/Rice Test)

Why is it so hard...? Oh, and it's a Kirby S E N T R I A. Why does it seem everyone forgets the *I* when they spell it? That poor little guy is gonna get a complex some day... ;)

Sanitaire Sc886 Vs. Kirby Sentra (Oatmeal/Rice Test)

Um... Running any machine that fast won't give you the best results. Anyone who does really isn't cleaning... they're just doing it so they can say the ran the sweeper. ;) Reminds me of when I was a kid, and my mom said I had to run the sweeper... I ran it, but...

890? We have an 890 that I picked up a few months back... not familiar with the brand, though.

    Shark Navigator

EDIT We returned the Dyson DC28 after it came back from being repaired, because it STILL wasn't pulling the dirt that the Shark pulled.

    Shark Navigator

Wow! Let's all slam the small guy! Euro-Pro has made some pure garbage, for sure. However, the Lift Away is FAR from garbage! I bought my first one over a year ago. Mike's cousin now has that machine, and it's still going strong. She LOVES that machine! How much? Well... her parents & one...

Shark Navigator Lift Away, Steam Pocket Portable

Couldn't agree more! These are fantastic machines that deserve a closer look by ANYONE looking for a bagless machine. Don't let the price fool you! You absolutely get more than your money's worth with the Lift Away! I have a Black Friday Special email that they still honored pricing on as of...

    Rebuilt Kirby 505

Sadly, the only thing original is the belt lifter. Nothing else is even close to original 505 trim. :( Otherwise, I might've been interested. I'm close to Altoona, so not real far from Wexford. I actually picked up a very nice Classic III from a guy in Wexford.

    Bagged or Bagless ?

They both have advantages and disadvantages. I like both, to an extent. I've always been a Kirby fan. I've never had a Kirby that seemed to lose airflow until that bag was bursting at the seams. My new favorite bagless is the Shark Navigator Lift Away. The filters are easy to clean, and...
