Miele S7210 vs Dyson DC41/65/big ball

I have had an S7 allervac. It was white. It was a lovely vacuum in many ways. It beautiful looking vacuum and the tool storage and hose set up is well designed. However, I found the build quality to not be as good as miele claim, some cheap plastic used especially near the floor head. It is a...

    New Sebo Felix

As someone who has also had both an S7 and Felix, which do you think has better performance? I personally think the felix, not only because it does have noticeably more airflow, but I think it has better agitation. I found the S7 to bunny hop as I think its called over my plush pilled carpets...

    New Sebo Felix

No problem my friend. According to the technical specs on both models, the airflow rate is exactly the same at 50 litres per second.

    New Sebo Felix

@madaboutsebo - The motor on the Felix ECO has 24 blades versus 6 on the 1300 watt model ! @luxlife - I don't know about the states but in Europe you can buy a softer bristled brushroll for the felix for that exact reason. I has green bristles and is a good option for more delicate surfaces.

    New Sebo Felix

Well the felix has been out for 10 years now and people are still buying them so they cant b that bad. I actually find Miele's build quality to be lower than SEBO. SEBO's have a tough and durable feel about them. I found my S7 to have some quite cheap plastic used that would snap and break and...

    New Sebo Felix

Oh whoops. Best remove the Felix from the contemporary image icon as it isn't the best all-rounder apparently. Never thought I would say this but I do agree with sptyks, I would take the felix over a dyson. The newer dyson are great, I have 2 but as an everyday all rounder, for something that...

    New Sebo Felix

Yes chap ! The best all round vacuum you can buy in terms of just about everything. Lovely machines, I have a Felix vague with eh 700watt motor and the suction is no different to these models :)

    Vacuuming questions

I usually wait until the bag is full which can take a while. You could also add a question; "How often do you change the bag or empty the canister"? Answer to my question is when they are full. Even a full bag on the felix it still sucks. A G3 used at this hotel I was staying in once they...

    Vacuuming questions

No, I understand what you mean but that is a very specific scenario. If you are dusting furniture, cleaning your sofa, like the cushions or underneath them, or going around doing the crevices and using the attachments more for than a few second, a cylinder is more ideal, its just that little bit...

    Vacuuming questions

Okay you don't have to teach me how to use a cylinder vacuum. I am not that dense, and honestly that is my opinion and my preference :) I was suggesting that with a cylinder, when you have a long hose and nothing that will fall over, coupled with usually a telescopic wand makes above floor...

    Vacuuming questions

This is actually a genuinely nice thread, about VACUUMING! Not brand bashing or arguing (at least not yet lol) 1) How do you start vacuuming? Always turn the machine on and then recline. I don't get why people do it the other way round. In my mind, the motor speeds up properly and also it...

Bissell power lifter super lite. Wow

Actually, this does look terrible. When they launched this I thought it would be a decent little vacuum as Bissell make some quite okay vacuums which don't cost a lot but this isn't good even for $100. Yeah I have been following your videos for a while as well. It is good at the different...

    Diesel heads, any one?

It can pull away in 4th gear if it has to, if you engage the winter mode in the settings, gives you an idea of the torque it has !

    Another DC01!

They look very good. Can never have too many DC01's :p I passed through Southampton today on the way to Wool for Monkey world by the way lol

    Diesel heads, any one?

That's the thing. Common rail units are quite a bit quieter than the older tech engines. The PD VW TDI's, namely the 1.9 were noisy and rougher than the later common rails, but smooth and quiet at speed and incredible reliable. My Audi has a 7 speed gearbox so at motorway speeds, around 70, it...

    Diesel heads, any one?

Okay well once you own and drive one, I can assure you they are incredible machines and they are actually 2 decibels quitter at 60MPH than their petrol powered equivalent according to the additional specifications which you can get from Audi. Wonderful cars.

    New Sebo X4 Pet Boost

Looks like a really nice touch. You know, it is nice when a company actually improves upon a design and listens to their customers, rather than going backwards which so many manufactures have done in the home appliance's market. The X1 series are fantastic. The auto head adjustment is a very...

    Poor filtration on Shark vacuums

Yepp, that is a good video. Really wish they sold Riccar's here in the UK. Don't see how there isn't a market for them if they are in the same sort of price range as Miele and SEBO. That is one thing that is disgusting about bagless units, is the fact the dirt is spun around and whipped up...

    Diesel heads, any one?

Yepp, that is the nature of diesel engines, although the very latest diesel engines are so smooth and quiet they rival petrol engines.

    Diesel heads, any one?

Its a combination of that and the sheer fact diesel is an oil. Most diesel even today still have cast iron heads.
