    Stick vac advice

Stick vac I had all the old ones,Regina,Hoover,GE,even Sunbeam. None of them lasted. I bought a hoover like you are looking at at an estate sale. I tried it there and it ran well. Brought it home somehow it would pick up the dirt and then send it flying across the room through the motor vents...

    Hoover tools

Hoover tools Just received my Hoover tool set. Hooked them up and did my living room furniture.I must say they worked better then I expected. Very well made ,long hose, steel wand, sturdy tools. The suction is not like my Kirby or Filter Queen but, for a 1 speed upright it does quite well. I...

    Hoover tools

hoover tools Thank you so much for the help. Not sure if I should get them as they most likely won't work very well. I have an old Filter Queen with fantastic suction. but it is very heavy and clumsy to use. I have a Kirby too, but putting on the hose is very tough since I had a couple of...

    Modern toasters

Toasters I agree,do old school. I have worked in a dept store for 12 years and today's toasters and ovens are worthless. I purchased a Sunbeam Vista self lowering toaster years ago at a thrift store. It's beautiful and makes perfect toast every time. It is circa 1962.Sunbeam made that toaster...

    Sunbeam Challenger AKA Ugly Betty

Sunbeam For years I worked at a store that sold only Sunbeam vacs. Had them until they dropped the line, then went to Eureka and then Hoover. We sold a lot of Sunbeams, mainly canisters and stick vacs. They were well made and easy to use. The Challenger replaced the suitcase style Courier...

    Black and Decker Classic Iron

Iron We had the GE version too, lasted forever. I was just a little kid when we went to the store to buy it. When I was 18, I bought my mom a new Sunbeam, she was thrilled. She kept that old GE as a spare, since she ironed every Monday night, after washing all day. Those were the...

    Picked up this beauty today

Hoover I was in high school when we got our 1020 Brady Hoover. Great machine. I recall how it vibrated the dirt out of our thick green living room carpet. We lived on a farm and a lot of dirt drifted into the house. The biggest treat was the throw a way bag. Our old GE upright was horrible to...

    Thoughts on Hoover Dial-a-Matic 1120

DAM My DAM was my first vac I owned, and still is my favorite. I wish I would have kept it and just kept getting it fixed. It broke down twice so I traded it in for my first Kirby. The best thing about the DAM was it was so easy to use with the hose, and it had suction.Plus, you could pull it...
