Kirby Heritage II Rug Nozzle Question

Hello all: Polishing the Kirbys was one of today's chores, and while using Mother's Mag and Aluminum Polish is not a difficult task, it is time consuming...especially when there are eight machines to shine. While I was polishing, I got to thinking... My one Heritage II has the redesigned, less...

    POD April 1, 2008

Loved today's vintage advertisement. I had to smile when I read that if one tried and purchased the 1963 Hoover, chances are one will not have to buy another. Times sure have changed. I pondered how many of us here are still using those old Hoovers for our round the house cleaning. Joe

    Kenmore magic blue

Attachments blecchh! Reading through this topic sparked me to dig out the Magic Blue that I have placed with my parents' items that will part of the estate sale this late spring. Perhaps I should give the machine a second chance... Great suction, this machine has, but oh my...what about those...

    Dial-a-nap problem

Unplugging still My Electrolux Renaissance hose/handle/switch combination was on the fritz when I bought it at the thrift store. I plug and unplug the machine daily, and yes, I spark. Our run of the mill sockets are not switched. Joe

    New Upright for Area Rugs

Thanks for the thoughts... Hi all: I would like to thank you for your thoughts and ideas. I am quite content with my Convertibles on the rugs, and the Filter Queen upstairs and Renaissance downstairs for the wood and vinyl floors. Small throw rugs are shaken outside and laundered when needed...

    New Upright for Area Rugs

Thanks for the reply. I have used the power nozzle on my Filter Queens, Air-Way, and Electrolux Renaissance on the rugs. I just was pondering what folks today use on their area rugs, thinking that most would just go with an upright. I guess that I wasn't thinking too clearly...must be the snow...

    New Upright for Area Rugs

This question is more out of curiosity, rather than a recommendation for purchase. I have recently moved from a house with wall to wall carpeting to a house with hard wood flooring. I have area rugs in the dining room, living room, receiving room, and den. I also have a dog. I am lucky in that...

    Cirrus Upright Vacuums

Hi: I hope that this hasn't been brought up before... I was spending some time online looking for bags for one of my vacuums, and came across a listing for the Cirrus vacuum. Curiosity got the best of me, and I searched out the Cirrus website (http://www.cirrusvacuum.com/product-2.htm). The...

has any one heard of the air-tec vacuum cleaner BK 2000

Thanks... Thanks for the info on the Air-Way / Air Tec connection. I have been wondering about the Air Tec tools on their website that looked to be from Air-Way. Now I feel comfortable in knowing that I can use Air Tec bags in my machine. Joe

    Dyson

OT Response... kirbyboy1: I have been to the vac shop here in Punxsutawney, and to be honest, I am not all that impressed. Last year, I needed a brush roll for an all metal Royal, and when I gave the model number to the owner, he was sure that I was looking for a plastic roll for a Dirt Devil...

    Dyson

Static cling I owned a DC07 for a time, but found the emptying of the bin to be a pain. I have two dogs, and the static charge that would build up in the bin while vacuuming would cause the pet hair to attach to not only the inside of the bin, but the outside around the bin opening. It was...

    Air-Way......The Death Knell Has Sounded.........

Really sad news. Boy, sad news indeed. Really knocked the wind out of me when I read the above posts. Always hate to see another long-lived company go under. I must say that I am concerned about getting bags for my machine...Air Tec bags do fit? I'm going to check Air Tec out as soon as I...

    Electrolux Renaissance

Sorry for bringing this topic back up, but I'm new to th I have a Renaissance that I picked up for a terrific price...$7.95 at a thrift store a couple of years ago. It came with everything but the Sidekick. I really like the machine, and use it almost daily on the hardwood floors, and for the...
