    Black Friday deals anyone?

Anyone take part in any vacuum sales this year? I know I did. I bought myself a new shopvac along with a few other goodies this year and I am very happy with them, more pictures to follow. Scott

Someone wants another's market share I think....

I agree, the basic concept is not new however B&D's machine share several characteristics with the dyson machines. Looks to me like the hand held portion would be rather bulky, I guess we will see.   Sebofan, I have one of those same handhelds, they haven't been available here for years, and...

    new vacuum

I have two of the eurekas, they clean very well and the cyclone system is very good for a cheap machine. However, yes they are very noisy and their filtration is very basic. Scott

Someone wants another's market share I think....

Just came across these new machines from black and decker, two lithium ion, high voltage stick vacuums. One with a dyson-esque design which I think I prefer over the other higher voltage, more classically designed machine. It would seem to me that the dyson inspired one would be far more...

BREAKING NEWS: Dyson gives Shark a you-know-what!

Roger is one of our U.K. members. His videos are of exceptional quality and are very entertaining. Scott http://https//www.youtube.com/watch?v=xGb2zW5iipM&list=UUJ4CSnhUmaNELNcLUq-nrwA

BREAKING NEWS: Dyson gives Shark a you-know-what!

Irony... You know, it's funny I was just thinking of commenting on this thread about how I believe shark vacuums are very good value and do have some very nice features and good performance. And I was going to use my rotator lift away as an example, I've had it for nearly two years and have...

    I can't believe....

Rick, I think you will like the air, I had one of the originals and found it a great performer. Glad to hear the new vacuum bug bit you! I will admit, i'm tempted by home depots offer myself. Sebofan, I do hope a review of the air cordless is in the future! Scott

    North Texas Mini-Meet 11/8/2014

Gosh I'm so sorry we missed it Sean, it looks like you all had a blast! Of course, I had a good time this weekend with my troop as well. Glad to see something modern giving those carpets a good clean (; If I had been there, I would have brought along something new as well, something that starts...

    Goblin vacuum cleaners at Asda

Sebo fan, another thing I just noticed is that your "supervac" is much more expensive than the U.S. hoover "presto" which can normally be found for about 60$ which converts to under 40 pounds! I suppose over here it's a real bargain! Scott

    Dyson dc59 Motorhead

Another thing that I forgot to mention, we will be ripping up most of the carpets in the next month (thank goodness!) in favor of engineered vinyl plank flooring, which is another reason I felt this would be a prudent investment. I'm still loving it, and finding it more difficult to justify...

    Goblin vacuum cleaners at Asda

We have a match! The goblin stick vac also appears in the U.S. on sale from wards with a different floor head and with fairly positive reviews (and a high price). I would still like to get my hands on an original goblin rio one day, sad we didn't get them.   Sebofan, that supervac also...

    Dyson dc59 Motorhead

Update Well, after having this machine for about 2 weeks I have a confession. I haven't used a corded vacuum since. This machine cleans very well on all surfaces. The picture is of what it picks up on an average run through the house. I have also found it great for above the floor cleaning...

    Dyson dc59 Motorhead

I thought I had made it clear that I know full well that this is not a scientific test by any means. I did it mostly to have a little fun with my new cleaner and because I wanted to see what would happen. Yes the dyson did not pick up much dirt, but the dirt that it did get was grittier than the...

    Dyson dc59 Motorhead

I really can see myself using this machine frequently. I forgot to mention that for about a year and a half we have had a dc44 at work, and although it was not a stellar seller, the floor model has become the go to machine for cleaning the store. It has taken in tons of dirt, dust, hair, bird...

    Dyson dc59 Motorhead

It's first run For the first run of this cleaner I really wanted to do a semi-scientific test of one of this machines biggest claims. Stated proudly on the box, not to mention most other advertising for this cleaner, is this machines claimed ability to out clean the highest selling cleaners...

    Dyson dc59 Motorhead

It finally arrived today! My new Dyson dc59 Motorhead, the culmination of three years of teetering on the edge of buying a cordless vac from one of the most controversial vacuum brands out there. It is most certainly too early to definitively judge this machine, but first impressions are very...

    My "new" Dc16

beko, I found that the wand from my dc39 fits perfectly, clips on as well. It is the same wand that has been on several dyson canisters, I bet you could find a used one.

    My "new" Dc16

Update Beko, I saw the video of yours, and I agree that it is quite good for what it is.   daknx, I certainly think that dyson makes the best small cordless machines available as far as power and filtration.   As for my one, the battery came yesterday and after a short charge I ran...
