    This GE is friggin' bee-you-tee-full!

. And there it is, the hand vacs big brother, nice! Somewhat pricey with shipping, if it was local I'd jump. This vintage of vacuum is generally out of my area of interest, but this one just calls to me.

    Looking at Tri-Star Replacement

. Consider a lightly used Riccar/Simplicity canister on Ebay/Craigslist for about the same price as fixing the ol' gal. I got a very nice Moxie w/extras for a very nice price.

    Found another unusual beast

. Very cool, thanks so much for posting this. I almost bought one of these then pulled back feeling it was just too much of a monster. It may have been an even larger model actually. Unfortunately I don't have access to the pictures right now. It was a second hand store that probably ended up...

    "Once-pricey heirlooms losing their value"

. Good article, thanks for posting. On the comments under the article a woman says her house, "feels bigger" without a bunch of stuff in it. I think that is a key point, houses cost a fortune nowadays compared to a lot of old stuff, better to get maximum value from the house...for many at least.

    Rare Electrolux. Quick Sale :)

. I have come across one of these in the last 5 years plus years of part time (winter) collecting. That would be in the Southern California area. I also didn't find any Hoover Dials in much of that time either, then found 4 of them in quick succession. Checking Craig's today out there I don't...

Wow.. . That is a sweet minty mint Decade.

    Another HooverOreck product....

Ya... . I was dissappointed when i saw this vacuum recently. The pictures do not tell the story of flimsiness that the machine evinces in person. That said i did not use it and it does look better than so many others, it's just not the through and through premium product one would hope.

    Why Used Vacuums Won't Sell

My advice.. . sanitize the vacuum and accessories. Put on Craig's with pics and state in the ad it has been fully serviced and sanitized by a professional. If the vacuum is anything of quality or vintage sell on Ebay. Make sure it is complete with bags, belts, etc. and/or is rare or for some...

    Why Used Vacuums Won't Sell

You might also consider.. . most people think of a used vacuum like a used mattress, kinda gross. So they don't even look for them in Craigslist etc. Also you can buy a new one (Bissell/Eureka) at Walmart for under $50. Which will probably work fine for the 18 months they need it until they...

What's a good natural gas dryer brand

This Maytag.. . could be a nice buy as well, and the price is right! Sitting means it's been used very little and the machine harkins back to the era when they built 'em sturdy. As long as it sat in a dry enviorment. http://spokane.craigslist.org/app/5190100991.html

What's a good natural gas dryer brand

I looked at craiglist . in your area and found this one. I don't know your budget but this looks to be good bang for the buck. If money is tight i saw a Whirlpool for $20 that will probably do the job just fine. http://spokane.craigslist.org/app/5140659912.html

Eureka model 5134 type B Self Propelled Upright Vacuum Cleaner

The finished product.. . We I finally had time to finish my last vac of the summer season, and it's inside with the rest of the clean vacs. I am leaving the new belt off until I either sell it or start to use it regularly. It looks/runs great and smells like it should. I still need the light...

Sweet Avacado Singer $10 (Yucca Valley / Los Angeles Desert)

. I will probably will never see one like it again, alas it's too far. But what a machine! http://palmsprings.craigslist.org/app/5194288478.html

The Royal-Lux Formerly Known as the Royal-Electro!

Really.. . cool machine, very nice work. I think an extremely well executed Franken-vac like this, or hot rodded vac, is the penultimate frontier, short only of design/building your own from scratch.

    Panasonic SAVED from the crusher!!

Well... . I would expect it to fetch $20-$25...maybe. I would clean it up very well, and make sure you say that a lot in your ad. The bumper will have to be fixed if possible or forget the $20. That's in my experience, your milage may vary. Used vacuums are a bad way to get rich but a very good...

    Vacuum REEKS

Just bought one of these today! . same color and all, tear down and wash away i say. I just did a similar Kenmore that took a full disassembly..except motor. That is i opened the case but didn't take apart the motor itself, and hosed, washed, and compressed aired everything. Dog smell(!) is...

    New Washer/Dryer in da house..

. I was busy on getting my mother a new washer dryer bought and installed on and off for a few months now. The story is chronicled at the automaticwasher.org site and is linked below. The Speed Queen brand for laundry equipment compares best to Kirby it would seem, except they, unlike Kirby...
