    Electrolux 4000

Colby, I just looked over my 1693 and see exactly what you are talking about. I mistakenly said I liked the 1684 but it was, indeed, the 1693 that I was referring too. It is on my Ultralux. IMHO, the Ultralux teamed with the 1683 P/N was the best Lux since the Silverado/Olympia family. I...

    VCCC Convention, Members & Mini-Meets early 2000's

Just so everyone knows, a video company did the transfer of the pictures to the DVD and added the music I requested. This was all done in 2004 so the discs were available for the members at the 2004 convention. Hans, we all looked quite different! But better now don't you think?

    VCCC Convention, Members & Mini-Meets early 2000's

In the season of giving, I found this DVD from 2004 that was available to members at the 2004 convention. I burned it to my computer, then uploaded to YouTube and pasted the link here. It is apporox. 25 minutes long. It is a collection of photos of vacuums and members from four different...

    Electrolux 4000

Ronni............... A couple things went through my mind in reading your last post. It is interesting to note that Lux changed from metal rug guards to plastic. Perhaps a cost cutting thing? I have seen many P/N's on ebay selling with machines, (upright & canisters), with missing metal or...

    Electrolux 4000

Thank you Ronni, Andy and Colby. The above responses have pretty much cleared up my questions. Let me ask further: It is my assumption that the 4000 came with the, "onboard", non-electric hose, but, an electrified one as an option could be attached with the plug going into a port on the back...

    Electrolux 4000

Does anyone know if the Electrolux 4000 took an electrified hose utilizing the Sidekick and other attachments or was it straight suction only? When did Electrolux start using a electrified hose on their uprights? I know it was for straight suction in the beginning so what model was the first...

If you could only keep one vacuum cleaner which one would you choose?

I would keep.......... my Hoover 150 cleaning ensemble, (tools and hose), and my Air-Way twin motor Chief. Both are old but still operate perfectly and will out clean many of todays modern vacuums. The Air-Way Chief even has a wood pulp cellulose disposable bag with filtration that is very...

Charles Mine is exactly as what you have pictured. And, I am almost positive that is the way they came from the factory.

    Kirby Sentria For Sale

This came to me from my brother's estate. It took three years for things to be settled, (an unexpected death), and for certain items to be removed from the house. The Sentria appears to be seldom used. The tools/hose look like they were used for the demo only. The rug shampooer is still new...

    MINT CONDITION ELECTROLUX UPRIGHT

Thank you............ Tyler and others for your kind comments. Tyler, I am glad you are happy with this vacuum. I discussed it with Dan and he said he thought it would be something you would like. I hope to meet you sometime since we are nearby. Tom, I am also glad the bags found a new home...

Selling My Kirby 505 with Original Hose, Attachments, Boxes, and Rare Floor Polisher

CoffeeCanMan, How does one contact you? I would like to speak with you privately. I tried going through ebay but their mail system does not allow the exchanging of email addresses. Please advise when you have the opportunity or email me at [email protected] Thanks, Charlie

    Riccar VOLT Cordless Power Nozzle

Tom....... What is the difference between the Volt and CX1000 made by Hide-A-Hose which is part of Tacony? Maybe they are the same thing under different names? The features are nearly identical to the Volt as you described in another thread and in your article in the new VDTA News magazine...

    My GPO Rotary Telephone Collection

Two older Trimlines with the larger 212 handset plugs different from the modern modular plugs. The line cord is also the larger 212 into the phone. The blue one has suffered some major fading/discoloring---however true to form with Western Electric/AT&T, it works just great!

    My GPO Rotary Telephone Collection

Trimlines and Princesses I wanted to share a few pics of my favorite phone. I really like the rotary Trimlines and Princess phones. The lighted handsets are so interesting. Several of these require an external power transformer. After about 1974 the phones no longer needed them.
