Getting a lightweight upright from Tacony

The Hoover bagged Platinum upright looks like crap. I think the upright models from Soniclean are better. Soniclean should compete against Tacony.

Finally preparing the Vacuum "gallery". Care to see some HOOVERS?

Hooverboy81, I don't have much experience with a Hoover Convertible nor did my parents ever own one since I was born. I also wasn't informed much about the kinds of bags that the Hoover products use. However, after you told me the bags for the Convertibles are still available now, I did some...

Finally preparing the Vacuum "gallery". Care to see some HOOVERS?

You have such a nice collection of Hoover Convertibles and kitchen appliances. Back then, I thought Hoover only made vacuum cleaners. BTW, the upright model in the picture in reply# 201 looks modernized but unappealing. It seems lighter than the old Convertibles but less durable. Are the older...

    HOPELESS ACCESSORIES/TOOLS

I got several crappy and useless attachments I plan to toss in fire. The dusting brush I got with my Dirt Devil canister doesn't fit into the hose. I also have the same kind of crevice tool as the one Beko1987 was talking about. I went to the Vac Shack store in Ottawa to get a new dusting brush...

Trading a Kirby for a cheap Chinese-made product

If the retirees want to give their Kirby's to other people but still support local manufacturing, they could still get Oreck's or Tacony machines.

Getting a lightweight upright from Tacony

I would love to get my hands on one of the lightweight uprights from Tacony (Riccar Supralite, Simplicity Freedom, Speedy Maid from Fuller Brush or M500 from Maytag), but the only vacuum I have is a straight-suction Dirt Devil canister (link below), while there are carpets in my house...

Trading a Kirby for a cheap Chinese-made product

I learned that Kirby machines are heavy compared to products from other brands like most compact canisters and Riccar Supralite models, so I think it's reasonable for people to give their Kirby's to their children and/or grandchildren or donate them to organizations when they get too old to lift...

Trading a Kirby for a cheap Chinese-made product

Are there any American Kirby owners out there who would like to trade their vacuum cleaners for cheap Bissell's, Eureka's, Hoover's or Dirt Devil's which are made in China and could be found at Walmart? Why would Americans refuse to make such trade? I'm posting this thread for the thrill of...

    Simplicity Freedom Premium model S10P

I would love to get my hands on one of the lightweight uprights from Tacony. The only vacuum I have is a straight-suction Dirt Devil canister (link below) while there are carpets in my house. Sometimes, my father lends me his bagless Bissell upright for the carpets, but I don't trust the machine...

I might try that, Tolivac. Here's the tool caddy. I don't have much to say about this.

    My Dirt Devil

It's true that the bristles of all or almost all dusting brushes do need cleaning once in a while. Now here's the crevice tool. The attachment does fit with the Dirt Devil hose, but I'll leave you all to guess why I consider it junk. I got more crevice tools but that too, I'll make a separate...

    My Dirt Devil

Here's the dusting brush. It's useless as it doesn't even fit with the hose. It's most likely for a different vacuum cleaner. I recently got different dusting brushes from different stores but I'll discuss them in another thread. And by the way, thank you for the advice on turbo and floor...

    My Dirt Devil

Here's the upholstery nozzle. In the last of the four pictures, the nozzle is attached to the hose while the canister's turned on. Look what it's capable of doing. Out of all the attachments I got with the canister, the upholstery nozzle is the only one I consider keeping. The others are all junk.

    My Dirt Devil

I mean which floor brush doesn't get hair stuck to the bristles.

    My Dirt Devil

I used the floor brush to clean the kitchen floor and look at all the hair that sticks to the bristles. Can any of you give me a suggestion about which floor brush I should get that doesn't get stuck to the bristles?

    My Dirt Devil

Here's the telescopic wand. It connects to the hose by friction fit and it looks durable. I might keep it when the canister gets defective.

    My Dirt Devil

Here's the hose handle and the valve. The connection diameter is 1.25 inch (3.175 cm). And Sebo Fan, do you think a lot of the vacuum cleaners in the British market use bags that are similar to the ones in my pictures?
