    1997 Dyson DC01 Absolute +

Thank you for the information Benny, much appreciated.   I was thinking about you earlier actually and that I hadn't seen you "around" lately.  I hope you are well.

    HOOVER Purepower 700W

I did something I have not done in a while and checked Hoover's website, to find that they are now selling the Purepower (as well as a similar if not identical model called the Enigma) with a 700W motor.   That of course is a big difference from the 2100W motor in the "old" Purepower before...

    1997 Dyson DC01 Absolute +

I thought so Paul, side from the belt and hose which are replaceable parts, it is in very good condition with very few scratches to the plastic and no discolouration.

    1997 Dyson DC01 Absolute +

Well I've gone and done it again! Despite my hatered of the D-word today I picked up my third Dyson. To recap, the previous two were a DC04 in 2013 I got for free and sold for £60, and the other one was a DC07 I got this year again free and sold for £50. This one is different as I actually...

1991 Hoover Elite ll Total System Performance 430

But, thank goodness at least the facade is still there. Indeed, although for how much longer I don't know. If only I was a multi-milionaire I would buy all the Hoover buildings and ensure they remained as they were originally. Ah, at least I can dream!!

1991 Hoover Elite ll Total System Performance 430

Yes, according to Wikipedia and Google Maps there is a terrible looking Tesco at the rear and the front (where thankfully the lettering still remains affixed) has a sign advertising offices to let.

Finally preparing the Vacuum "gallery". Care to see some HOOVERS?

Please don't feel obliged to post the photos on here straight away - take time to rest! I know all too well what tiredness and stress can do and it isn't pleasant, you need to switch off from time to time.

1991 Hoover Elite ll Total System Performance 430

One day, I WILL stand on that ground. I would love to also, maybe one day we'll both me it down there! My 1951 Hoover Dustette was made in that building and I could think of nothing better than to see it with my own eyes.

all done not bad is it?

We all know my feelings on the D-word, but to quote John "do I bash?" Even I have to admit it is looking pretty good! Are you going to keep it or sell it on?

Is this a good coffee maker

"I use 2 lbs of beans a month by myself." I'm about the same, although I (ashamedly) buy coffee grounds... I KNOW, I KNOW!

    Cars!

I have always been and will always be a Ford guy. The blue oval gives me 100% confidence that it will go wherever you want and get you home again. Yes, some people dislike them and say they are unreliable, but not in my experience!! Our current Ford, a year 2000 Focus 1.8 LX has been with...

Audi seem to have saved motoring, for real.

This sounds good in theory, but we'll have to wait and see what happens. The government may either put a stop to it all together if they can't tax it as high as current fuel, or let it go but put the price up to 200.9p per litre (who am I kidding, that will happen REGARDLESS). And it doesn't...

Finally preparing the Vacuum "gallery". Care to see some HOOVERS?

Apologies if you have already posted and I've missed it, but do you have any Hoover fan heaters John?   I am bidding on a red one on eBay at the moment that I hope to win.  It is a little rectangular "box" heater that you would put on a desktop.  The model is 8582.

    Non Genuine dust bags....opinions ??

Hear hear John. All my Hoovers are running with bags and belts proudly displaying the HOOVER trademark. I would not use them with anything else, although I fear the genuine parts made today are no better than generic parts sadly.

Is this a good coffee maker

I am definitely one of those "beasts".    Before my first coffee I literally appear drunk as I am slurring my words and cannot walk straight.  It is only after the first cup that I can compose myself.   I laugh, because 4 cups is what I consume in the first couple of hours of waking...
