    Shark Rocket vacuum...

Tonight I took a detour home from work to pick up another vacuum cleaner.  The idea with this one is to clean it up and sell on for a profit, but I actually think I may (slightly) like the thing...    It is filthy, but very quiet and the brushroll sticks to the carpet almost as good as an...

    Electrolux The Boss bagless...

Picked this up tonight for £10. It is the same as my bagged Boss only the handle-release catch is still intact! I haven't tested it yet, but am told it was in perfect working order. As expected it is dirty, and I will strip it down and restore tomorrow, but for tonight thought I'd start a...

What else would you do with a shipload of strawberries?!

Ooh! Perfect to eat chilled on a hot day. I do love strawberry deserts.

Mmm, that's my kind of lasagne!

    FRENCH TOAST BAGELS

I would never have thought of that recipe, but it looks delicious! Another one of yours I will most certainly have to try.

    New Henry's - Original, Compact & Professional

I like the new line-up very much!  Especially the "compact" and "professional" models.  I could see the former being especially popular for older people who find the regular Henry too heavy and cumbersome to use.

    Original 1956 General Electric Kitchen

Gorgeous!  I wish I could get that shipped over to Scotland and fit it in my kitchen, that'd be a dream come true.

Dyson airblade is basically a virus catapult

My work has one and I absolutely detest it. People use it (without adequately washing their hands, or at all in some instances) and their hands obviously come into contact with the inside of the dryer.    As hard as I try to not touch it, the inevitable happens from time to time and I have...

Another Lenovo Thinkpad T61 plus a update.

I have never owned one of the Thinkpad series, but they would definitely be high on my list of preferred choices when I am next shopping for a laptop. The price is a bargain too!

    SWEET & SPICY CHICKEN

Yet another delicious recipe that I'll have to try someday!

Here's a great job for someone who's afraid of heights.

That second photo raised my blood pressure a tad.  No way would I do that, not even for a Model 0!

Thank God It Was the Fairfax!

My Peugeot it starting to get like that!  Only noticed the other day that after giving it a jet wash there was a steady drip of water coming from the top of the passenger front door, and I dared not open the sunroof cover for fear of there being a pool of water inside.    It's little things...

I do love an easy fix... New (to me) Sebo X1.1

Just to give a quick update, I checked the bag door and it dates from 2005, so quite an early model!  It doesn't look 11 years old.

A few more Electrolux related aquisitions

Great finds! Of course, not as good as Hoovers - but we can't have it all...   I love the Dolphin, Electrolux cylinders have always been excellent in design and performance.

Just bought an Oreck... Information wanted!

It was fully assembled, although I would imagine they were sold in very small boxes when new!

I do love an easy fix... New (to me) Sebo X1.1

Ha! The Electroluxes are getting rather decrepit now though to be fair, bar the 502S which is almost fully retired.

I do love an easy fix... New (to me) Sebo X1.1

"Next thing you know you'll find another dyson!" Don't say that Scott!! The thought of another Dyson in this house makes me anxious.

I do love an easy fix... New (to me) Sebo X1.1

Ah, can't believe I didn't look there! Will do that tonight and see. Yes I do vaguely remember a thread in which Chris talked about his red Sebo and it being a Euronics special. I think this might be the one vacuum I own that gets his seal of approval!!

I do love an easy fix... New (to me) Sebo X1.1

Good Lord! They aren't worth that much here but still a lot more than I paid. Even the bags alone could probably sell for £10.

I do love an easy fix... New (to me) Sebo X1.1

Well, what can I say? The last week really has been a vacuum filled one, and the funny thing is I wasn't even actively looking for any - but rather just happened to see the adverts on Gumtree whilst browsing other things. This is a red Sebo X1.1 which was for sale at £10. Of course at that...
