    Hoover 62

    The 63 Is just a wider bellows than that of bottom filling convertibles. These ARE still relatively readily available on several vacuum websites and vacuum shops. Hope this helps!

    model 62 Note how the original handisac bellows mounts beneath the fill tube? It's wide at the bag ring, and tapers to fit the small circular ring within the fill tube.

    The bellows for the 63 will not work on a 62 with a handisac fill tube. Way different! To make a 63 bellows work on a 60/61/62 you'd have to change the fill tube to that of the 63/64/convertible type C setup. Very simple fix.

    Model 62 Uses type W "handisacs". They are reusable paper bags. Probably my favorite paper bag setup on the older Hoover cleaners...also one of my favorites from the 60 series. I may have an aftermarket bag somewhere around here. Email me and I'll try to find something to keep you "hoovering"!

    How cool! I really hope to visit Stark's and the Hoover Historical Center soon. The folks at Stark's have been beyond helpful when looking for old parts for restorations via phone. Can't wait to see it in person!

    The 63 (of course!), my matching Pixie... and a ridiculously large amount of sudsy ammonia, Johnson's paste wax, Glass Wax, Clorox, and Old Dutch cleanser!
