Well, since we are all sharing what we used, I used my Silver King 73-B2. I don't have a picture of it yet though.

    Commercial Eureka Model C5712A

This particular model is almost identical to the Contour household model. The main differences are the cord and handle. The contour has a shorter 2 wire cord and all plastic handle. And they both take the LS bags.

I gave myself a very nice Christmas gift

A very nice vacuum. The Aquarius is probably my favorite new Miele, mainly because of the color. But Miele makes great vacuums. Mieles do cost a lot more here than in Europe. The wholsesale cost on the Capricorn (our TOL model) is more than THe retail on the European version.

...any way to get that "wet dog" smell out of a vacuum?

I like how ozone works for killing odors. I have this "Living Air" air purifier thing that makes ozone, I use it mainly for deodorizing vacuums. It has worked well so far.

    Invincible Wheeled Cannister Vacuum

Looking closer.. ...That might be the original hose. I know some old central vacs used hoses similar looking to that one.

    Invincible Wheeled Cannister Vacuum

Its very old, I would say 70-80 years old. It originally had a whitish cloth hose, from what I have heard. It was used for more commercial/industrial use.

    Electrolux 'Clean Sweep" granules.

I have never tried this, or really noticed it before. I think I will have to get some to try.

Advice Needed - Best Upright for Health Reasons?

I think I will have to join the Sebo group for all of the reasons that were mentioned here. I can also say from personal experiance that they are excellent, well built vacuums, as I have a Sebo Built Windsor Versamatic. I think you would be yappy with a Sebo.

    Windsor Versamtic!!!!

Windsor is located in Englewood, but as someone said, they are made in Germany by Sebo. Windsor only makes their large floor machines everything else is for the most part European made.

Continental Royal Adjust Rite Vacuum - Rite Police

I see that as beeing grabbed up quickly. Its the 888, the one with the nozzle that comes off like a Kirby's.

Miele Capricorn vs Sebo Airbelt C3 vs Riccar 1800

Riccar made by Daewoo... the Riccar canisters are actually made by Daewoo, not LG.

    Oreck Canister

The Portapower uses either type N or some have a cloth bag. I agree on teh Oreck beeing very weak, I have one to match my upright, but I never use it. I also agree with the comments to the Dutchtech, its nice but over priced. They are also a pain to work on.

    Power Nozzle

The newer larger hoses refers only to the inside diameter of the hose itsself, the inlets are 1 1/2" either way. The hose you have is the wire reinforced one, which is heavy. I have several different hoses that I can use with my central. I have a Hayden Superhose, plastiflex standard high...
