    SEBO k3 🇩🇪

Lesinutah In my opinion Sebo ET-1 powerhead has quite stiff bristles in the brushroll with good agitation. Of course there is powerheads with stiffer bristle brushrolls, but they tend to eat a lot of carpet fibers. But this is just my opinion.

    new Electrolux cordless

Those have been in Finland quite a long time now. People seem to like them and they sell well. Not well as the V10 or V11, but well considering the 500€ (550$) price and not so well known (hyped) model. It seems to be impressive. Biggest thing why I like it's idea is low center of gravity. It...

wondering what kind of motor this is

Looks like typical dust collector motor. I used to work in the wood industry. Our motors in our dust collectors used to be 3 phase 3000 rpm with huge suction fan. Ducting for those were usually 8 or 6 inch.

Even More airflow tests (part 3)

Sebo K1 & Electro Helios U318 (1979) Here is two canister vacuums. Age difference 40 years. Results were very surprising. Woven hose results for the Electro Helios: airflow 90 cfm suction 83". Plastic hose results for the Electro Helios: airflow 99 cfm suction not measured. Hose results for the...

    Hepa bags. A gimmick?

Miele GN bags Miele GN bags are fantastic. They are very thick and airflow difference between empty and full bag is very small. Only 10 cfm loss with full bag.

    Hepa bags. A gimmick?

Good points there! I only use hepa bags because they keep the bag compartment clean and airflow/suction doesn't drop like it does with the paper bags. I have quite many vacuums what originally came with the post motor hepa filter. When hepa filter in many of my vacuums has become dirty I have...

    Hepa bags. A gimmick?

Seems like bags availability is very different from country to country. In Finland we have a lot of internet stores selling vacuum bags and accessories. Selection of bags is huge. For example I found hepa bags for my vintage 1979 Electrolux. You can make agreement with them and they...

    Hepa bags. A gimmick?

Hepa/fleece bags are huge improvement. I don't have allergies, but just the fact that bag compartment stays clean using the hepa bags keeps me using those. I don't like the idea that paper bags leak dust to the motor. Paper bags also clog when they are half way full. Hepa bags much less so. Then...

Differences between Lux Intelligence and 115S?

Do they even sell these in the US? Difference between the Intelligence and S115 seems to be quite small. So if I lived in the US Aerus Guardian Platinum (Intelligence) would be more than enough for me. Quite surprising to hear the new powerhead problems.

    Real life shark attack

Motors in the Shark vacuums are hilariously small. They run at very high rpm and they run hot. Just look at the contrast to the Nilfisk GM80 motor.

Does anyone else avoid using vacuums because they fear they're going to break

Electrolux Precision My Electrolux Precision. It's rare in the Europe and plastic what it is made of is very fragile. I rarely use it and I want to keep it in good condition. Very powerful vacuum. Most powerful bagless upright what I have used and measured. Nice dual cyclone system so filter...

    The Lupe Cordless

Better than Dyson V10/V11? Did they actually compared it to the Dyson V10/11? I think I saw Dyson cleaning head in the comparison. I can already see Dyson suing Lupe if they show that it is better than Dyson. Unless it truly is better than Dyson.

    Lux D790 Royal

What I used for the pre motor filter is just a foam (2 cm thick) from old mattress. It shouldn't limit the suction, but I have to measure it and compare measurements to the original. It would be interesting to see your hepa mod pictures.

    Lux D790 Royal

Hepa filter would certainly improve the filtration. Aftermarket (genuine not available) fleece bags are quite thin so tiny bit of dust will escape to the bag compartment. That's why I have upgraded the pre motor filter. Original pre motor filter is very coarse and it allows dust to go to the...
