I absolutely love old woven hoses, You are right, vintage machines don't look the same even with the new style hoses Aerus Electrolux makes today.

The bag I have in now is pretty close to full. When the full bag light comes on, I will use it with a full bag light for a short while and see if it shuts off. Will let you all now. I have serial number 63 or 65 so it's a pretty early make.

Btw, my machine is just about a year old now, got mine the end of last October before they officially came out in January. I go through about a bag a month. The pre motor filter is showing some dirt, but don't think it is in need of replacement yet. The light to change it hasn't come on.

Erik, If you mean for full bag, no, there is just a full bag indicator light in the led function center..There is also a pre filter change light in this section. In the case of ever overheating, yes there is a shut off.

I wish EAerus lux did offer those here in the states. I think it would come in handy for a lot uses. Like you, I am not sure if it what fit the platinum power hose used here. From your picture I don't think it would fit the hoses here
