    Hoover Commercial Upright Elite

Back in November I ran across a Hoover Commercial upright vacuum in the Elite version. It cost only $9.00!!!! It worked fine but the brush roll was in horrible shape. Since today is a holiday from school, I slept in (I have a cold) then decided today would be a good day to work on my vacs. Pix...

Question about the two cleaners I got today

I'm this close to squealing! Matt, is the Golden Glide a model C-10 by any chance? My Grandnother had one of those in the 70's and have been looking for one forever. The Golden Powermaster is probably model U 49A? Does it have a ivory/green floral print square topped bag? These were made in...

    Early Singer Models

C 3 Going back to Doug's question about the C-3. It was identical to the C-2 but a floor/wall brush was included with the attachments. A place was created for it in the attachment box. I have many of the vacuums pictured so far. One vacuum that has eluded me so far is the C-10 Golden Glide. My...

Metropolitan? What about Metroploitan vacuums, they are new and retro looking. I have never used one but they look cool. Marty

    Floor Brush Identity

GE Roll Easy This belongs to a GE Roll Easy vacuum. I like how the bristles are also a green/aqua color. Its the flip tool. One side does the carpet. There is a weight on one side of the tool so when you lift it off the carpet, it flips itself to the floor brush side in order for you to proceed...

Sometime later my friend Victor came into posession the same colored tools and wondered what model they came from. As far as...

Calling All Metal Royal Upright Enthusiasts

Screamer Louis, I have a vacuum just like that. It's an anniversary model with the dark green bag. I bought it in the late 90's. It is back in it's box because it is so loud! I remember seeing here i think that there is a Dirt Devil motor in them? Is that right? Anybody? That and the higher...

What $5.99 got me at a thrift store...

Singer Systems at Target Memories of these vacuums at Target are slowly coming back to me. Target had the green trimmed Singer System upright. I also remember stacks of Singer upright attachment sets high up on the top shelves. I got to thinking about the canister that was sold at Target. The...

What $5.99 got me at a thrift store...

Nice find! Hang onto it! I have a package of Singer System bags for canisters. I will have to look at the model numbers. The tools I think were like Eureka tools in grey. Chad and Jeff, great history on Singer. One of my favorite brands! Marty

Electrolux Model E with polished front cover

Charles I have a Model E that was refurbished by Metropolitan. It has a polished front cover and a Metropolitan cord halo in matching hammertone blue. Why they didn't use a Lux halo, well who knows? I really like the way the E looks with boths ends polished.

Help with vac bag identification 'H' ?

Bojack, Aftermarket They are the same to me as far as I'm concerned. If its not original from the factory but "made to fit" then its an aftermarket or more affectionately, a bojack. I think Charles has it right. I've seen bags made by Hoover with the round logo for Hoover and Kirby for that...
