Should I sale my Rainbow or keep it?

How often do I vacuum? I'm a neat freak so I vacuum everyday(only rainbows allowed in this house) I use my SE for daily vacuuming and my E-2 Black for weekly cleaning and dusting. Now do I need to vacuum everyday? probably not but the water is dirtier than I think it should be but not dirty...

    Hour Counters

I joke all the time that mine and my aunts rainbows need hour meters on them. I don't think there is anyone that uses there rainbow more than we do as we vacuum everyday. She just had a new motor put in her E-Series and I just had new carbon brushes put in my SE. It would be interesting to...

    Finally Did It!

I really question the work at that price. Really, what would you say you should be looking at price wise to have it cleaned

    Finally Did It!

Used it today and I really couldn't tell any difference in the amount of suction with the 7 year old filter vs. a new one but without a meter there is really no way to tell.

    Finally Did It!

I sent it to www.rainvac.com. They are in Hagerstown MD. Been dealing with them for many years. They are 100% only rainbow. If you can't find it there for your rainbow, its not made and their prices are unbeatable.

    Finally Did It!

I finally broke down and packed my E2 black rainbow up and sent it in for a cleaning. I was a little hesitant to ship it so I sent my se first and got it back with no shipping damage. Just got it back today and its so clean I kind of hate to use it. The cleaning was $75, HEPA filter was $36...

    Rainbow D4, D2 and E - Opinions Wanted

I have the D4SE and the new E-2 2 speed and I use the SE for my everyday vacuuming and the e-2 for weekly dusting/cleaning. I find the SE lighter and easier to use. I find what makes the E-2 hard to pull is the rubber wheels they now use. I spent a lot of money to get a new original D4 dolly...

    Rainbow SE question

I think I have pinpointed the squeak to be in the top of the unit where the cooling fan is for the motor. Might just be possible something got a little over tightened. The squeaking as subsided some. Not going to worry to much about it unless it starts to get worse

    Rainbow SE question

Maybe during the cleaning the lower bearing got wet?

    Rainbow SE question

I would think it was serviced properly. I sent it to the authorized service center in Hagerstown MD that I have been dealing with for many many years. They serviced it 6 years ago and put in a new bottom bearing and turned the armature and I had no issues when I got it back. I'm going to give...

    Rainbow SE question

No squeaking while its running only when its winding down

    Rainbow SE question

I got my rainbow back today from getting serviced, they put new motor brushes and new middle and top bearing in it and cleaned it. It runs ALOT quieter than it did before service. When it winds down there is ALOT of squeaking, I know some squeaking is normal with the SE. Is there a breaking...

    do you vacuum more now?

I vacuum my 2 story 2400sqft house everyday with my rainbow SE which at the moment is in for service(probably from to much use)so I've been using my E-2 black. I'm a clean freak and hate dirt. I do have a cat(never again) and in the winter deal with woodstove dirt so vacuuming everyday is a...

Rainbow Minijet is kind of fragile

Mine broke on the bottom of the lens where the two holes fasten to the nozzle. My dealer sent me out a new lens covered under warrantee. I order a lot of stuff from rainvac.com. There only an hour and half from me. I've had my SE there for repairs and the people there are nothing but nice...

    New Rainbowmate

I broke down and ordered one last month. It sure wasn't cheap but I have to say I like this one better than the other rainbowmate. After 3 days of use it developed a problem in which the brushroll would stop spinning. I sent that one back to my dealer and he sent me another one and I have...

    Rainbow Cleaning

Yes I take extremely good care of my rainbows. Separators go in the top rack of the dishwasher every 3 days, water gets dumped twice per floor, and they never go within 5 feet of the woodstove. Would much rather destroy a $180 vacuum vs a $2600 vacuum

    Rainbow Cleaning

I would love to be able to take it apart and clean/service it myself but that $400 computer scares the crap out of me. That's what happened to my 5 year old E2 gold the computer or the circuit board blew while I was using it. I have two rainbow places within a 2 hour drive from me one wants...

    Rainbow Cleaning

Just wondering how often a rainbow should be tore down a cleaned inside? Its only 8 years old but it gets used everyday. We do heat our home with a woodstove but I use a Kenmore canister with heap bags to clean up the wood dirt and ash dust but i'm sure some ash dust makes its way into the...

    New (sort of) Rainbow

I know the rainbow is designed to handle regular household dirt and dust but I have already fired up the woodstove for the season(yes my rainbows never go near the stove) and I get a very fine dust covering everything and I know that some of it is probably ash dust and it just gives me piece of...
