    cloth or paper bags

In my personal experience with my kirbys, the mid line paper bag always seemed to be very stiff and ridged when the machine was turned on, however when I put a tol hepa bag in it breaths better and the bag is a lot less ridged this would make me think the hepa bags work better and put less...

    The Great HEPA Debate

I didn't read all of the comments so someone could have already said this, but in my experience a synthetic hepa bag not only filters better meaning the vacuum fan stays clean but I have found that the hepa bags let the air flow easier through the machine than a paper bag and maintain that...

    Researching Vacuums

The Maytag will be a very good vacuum on short pile carpet, if you have bare floors I personally find the brush on/off switch a little inconvenient to use, if you do need to use this vacuum on any hard floors I recommend either the Panasonic mc-ug729 which I personally prefer between the two...

    Hoover PurePower, what happened???

As far as reintroducing the Junior/Senior Hoover U.S. have all but completely discontinued the commercial versions which are the last models to still be in production. In fact almost all of the bagged fan first machines have been discontinued, only the new bagged plastivacs are being sold...

    Cordless Riccar Upright!

I have used this and I have to say, it's just as light as a corded freedom/supralight, cleans sand from carpets about as well as a miele, and the battery runs for at least an hour on a one hour charge. For the power and fact it's made in the states, I don't think the $500 price tag is too...

Fuller Brush canister - power head quality?

I have only used it at the shop I work at but would say that it is easier to move and provide better agitation than mieles small pn, the fuller brush pn has just as much agitation as the mid range miele pn but has a more compact size. For the price, its a great machine.

    2000s Bagless Systems

So I was thinking the other night, during the early to mid 2000s almost every vacuum brand had some single cyclonic or filter in the bin bagless dirt cup system. Which ones do you think where the best and which where the worst?

    Westinghouse Unplugged...

If you have not opened the pack yet what you will find is 12 batteries that I think are "c" sized all connected together with a positive, negative and ground wire, if I remember correctly the cheapest I could find 12 NiCd "c" batteries was around $120 plus you would need a solder and a soldering...

Conquest vs. Elite vs. Concept vs. Convertible

The concept and conquest use quadraflex roller brushes, the elite uses a plain helix brush roll,no beaters. I have used elites and convertibles and I would have to say elites work better for deep dirt on low pile carpet, any plush carpet or higher pile carpet I would say a convertible would work...

    Windsor and Cleartrak!

I was looking at different reviews and videos and that was what I thought about the sensor, it just seems like a workhorse. It will be fun to compare the cleartrak to my grandmas dyson, I think with a new brush the cleartrak will clean a little better.

    Windsor and Cleartrak!

Hi everyone, I went to work today and had a trade in already at the shop that I hadn't found a vacuum to get out of the deal so I looked around and found an amway cleartrak and windsor sensor manual height adjust model so those are the two machines I decided on getting. He said I could just have...

    Need some help.

Thanks for all the replys guys :) I think my local walmart no longer carries the power glide but my local big lots had some overstocked nib blue models that I learned was the walmart version so I might try to get one. Wiping off the side of a vacuum seems easier than tapping and washing a filter...
