    Dryer Exhaust Clean-out

Real1shep's right, electrolux137 Its even recommended to remove the dryer's back panel (after unplugging of course) and give everything you can reach with a plastic attachment a good vacuuming. Lint dust can be very small and get through traps. I moved from an apartment just before the laundry...

Is this a modified vintage Hoover or a real weed wacker?

I once tried to convert a vacuum motor into a disc sander. It was governed so high that when I turned it on the rubber pad disintegrated like it had exploded! This weed wacker is probably way too fast to safely use with a blade or string.

    Just snagged this off Ebay

Thanks for sharing, Dysonman1. Mine actually has a metal handle, yet seems "prototype". I'm pretty sure the motor housing with the side air slots only fell between 1915 - 1921, just judging from ads, so that helped to date mine. Perhaps its Premier's transition of their handheld vacuum from...

    Just snagged this off Ebay

According to research, this is probably the oldest electric handheld vacuum cleaner made (c. 1916-17) It pre-dates the Premier Spic & Span by 11 or 12 years. Check out the patent and you'll see what it was originally developed for.

    Kenny Vacuum Sweeper

Hi unit 41 Hey, beautiful machine you've got there. The name "Kenney" probably refers to David Kenney who' in the early 1900's, held no fewer than 9 patents for systems and mechanisms to suck dust out of carpets and off of floors. Any vacuum cleaner manufacturer who hoped to market their...

    Best way to clean cushions

Hey, cuffs If the cushion covers can unzip to remove them, do so. Be sure to zip them closed before putting them into the washer. Air dry, or replace on cushion while damp if you're afraid they'll shrink. Don't put any cushion itself through the washer or dryer. If the covers can't be...

Anybody seen one of these before?

I ran across this on craigslist. Its a G.E. upright with what appears to be the New York City skyline in its logo. 1940's maybe?

    Help me find this please

Found one on Ebay I think its the model you're looking for? Its a little rough, and the lens is busted, he says the light doesn't work, but the vacuum does. Looks like some added "handling fees" in the shipping too.

    Premier Junior Vacuum

Premier Junior info Hey vacmaster, I just dug up a few photos for you. It appears to have been made from late 1910's to early 1920's. The first 2 photos are just drawn ads. The last 2 are of the Premier Duplex, a very similar model to the Junior, it appears.

    What category on ebay?

I just saw your other post in Super Market Hey hoover119dude. My mistake, I thought you were talking about disposable paper vacuum cleaner bags, not cloth or plastic outer bags for uprights. Well, my advice is still the same except... The 2nd sub-category in Household Supplies and Cleaning is...

    What category on ebay?

You need to broaden your search catagory I just went on Ebay and searched "Hoover vacuum cleaner bags". It came up with 5000 listings. But the category group wasn't Vacuum Cleaners it was Household Supplies and Cleaning. Try using key words and phrasing like the first listers use. Good...

    Thrift Shop Run Yesterday

Stores' prices reflect need, not necessarily greed. These thrift shops are often located in strip malls, whose corporate owners set leasing costs high enough to satisfy their investors. This high overhead is passed along to the shop's customers as a way of keeping the store viable and open...
