Door to Door sales and their relevance in 2018 and beyond...

I am sorry if I helped "swing" the subject on the other thread you started. You only brought up the truly high-end machines and most of those happen to be sold door-to-door. I thought that was the purpose of the other thread. Regarding Rainbow machines, I can perhaps see why Rexair prices are...

Ultra Premium vacuum pricing... wtf filter queen?

These door-to-door companies are pricing themselves right out of business. They keep getting more expensive with every model. It's ludicrous. I remember when a new Electrolux (now Aerus) was $700. Now the top of the line model is $2,000 or more. Rainbow has always been one of the most expensive...

    Aerus Lux Guardian Platinum Reviews

@tolivac Consumer Reports have always rated door-to-door vacuums. They have rated Kirby, Rainbow, and Electrolux/Aerus machines many times. They didn't use to rate Miele machines either. They don't always rate every machine on the market.

    Post your favorite bagless vacuums!

@mike811 On that blue Electrolux pic above, what is the blue stripe on the floor head? Is that just a colored strip or is it some sort of headlight? Just curious.

There you are Dan... I just have not seen you post around here much in a good while. haha

    Kirby Avalir 2?

I don't mean to change the subject, but does anyone know what happened to the user kirbyloverdan?? Haven't seen him in a long time. Thanks.

    Kirby Avalir 2?

@human Thanks for that info about the TechDrive pedal. I will see if I can find a video on how to repair that and I will order a new one from Kirby. Mom doesn't like the machine because it is too heavy for her and she has trouble bending over now. She has a lot of fabrics to clean so she needs...

    Kirby Avalir 2?

I don't think people "buy" Kirbys. People "get sold" Kirbys. I remember when my Mom bought hers 18 years ago. The salesman made it look so easy and wonderful. They always do. Within 6 months or less of ownership, we were already tired of having to bend over and take the head off to use the hose...

    Miele Blizzard CX1

@vacuumdevil I went and looked but it still doesn't have all the features I would like. No controls on handle and not sure about cord length. Miele doesn't check all the boxes, and it doesn't look like anyone else is going to either.

    Miele Blizzard CX1

Miele still churning out those "tools" that look like they belong in a Barbie Doll house. Same short hose too. They are so ridiculous. None of this is to criticize your decision. I would buy a Miele in a second if they would correct these issues.

No more corded vacuums to be developed by Dyson

I realize the cordless thing is seen by many as an advancement. But I can't help think that it isn't really. I mean how much of an improvement is it to go from plugging in a vacuum when you need it and having it work every time (as long as the outlet and electricity is working) to having to...

    Aerus/Electrolux uprights

Every time I see that Lux Guardian upright I really wish Aerus had incorporated stainless steel into the design. It looks OK as it is, but it would have really looked awesome if they had put stainless steel plating on the body where the white is.

    my review of the Hyla

Thank you that was very informative.

    The Lux Legacy

Aerus' newer brushrolls are often said to contain more bristles. After counting them in that photo they have the same amount of bristles. It's just arranged in a steeper pattern which hopefully keeps them in contact with the carpet more often.

    Questions about Tacony products

@panasonicvac So they ARE getting rid of the full sized canisters?? Bad news... Strike Tacony off the list if true. There is now NO canister manufacturer that offers what I want. :(

    Questions about Tacony products

@dysonman1 Can you shed some light on the top of the line machines? Why are they seemingly being pushed off the websites? Simplicity doesn't even have the Gusto or Moxie on their site anymore. Do you know why this is? Is the Wonder/Prima going to be the top machines now? Do they think that...

    Questions about Tacony products

Also, if true that they are coming out with new models, I will wait a while before I take the plunge. I am following them closely to see what they do next.

    Questions about Tacony products

@honestjoe68: WOW! Thank you for such a thorough answer! I appreciate it man. The reason I asked about the full sized canisters is because I am just not interested in the Wonder or Prima. I don't care about the Tandem Air thing either. I just want a full size canister and full size power...

    Miele C3 Cat&Dog v Lux Guardian Platinum

The Lux is a very expensive machine but some on here may be able to help you with that. They run about $2,000 or so. The Lux Guardian Platinum comes in both an upright and canister. The upright has no suction adjustment and no tools on board. The cansiter is pretty similar to Miele Cat and Dog...
