    Brand New Hoover Polisher!!

Cool polishers; even if they were BOL they were still quite stylish. I'm curious to see their deluxe counterparts as well. What year is the pink machine on the right from? <br As for the great production chart...would it be possible to scan this and put it on the site? Very informative...

    My New Hoover!!!!

Hoover ULW Very neat machine; I saw those at the Hoover store the last time I was there and wondered how they perform. The brushroll looks more substantial than the Oreck (the whole base does, actually), and the price can't be beat!

    A gift to myself...

Hi Marty, Wow, that is just great, congratulations! Good Eureka karma for sure! Are the two uprights 1400 series or older? I agree that the sound of a Eureka ranks right up there with the Convertible, with the sound of the beater bar on the rug. I'm also curious to find out if there was ever an...

I wonder what could be in here?

Lights on! Since the bag is configured to use the NLA Type W "Handisac" bags which I don't have, I was able to modify a Type C bag to work in it. I simply cut off the tapered (and stapled) end and pushed it very far onto the fill tube. The clamp was plenty strong enough to hold it on, although...

Attachments. I'll be on the lookout on eBay for a hose and converter!

I wonder what could be in here?

YAY! I didn't have any pre-Convertible Hoovers from the 1940's or 50's, until last week when I bid and won a Hoover Model 28 which hasn't arrived yet but appears to be in decent shape from the pictures. The same seller also had a really nice Model 61 which I was really interested in, but it...

Opening the first box... It looks like something good!

    Dyson Canister

Thanks my-ellie for the additional information and correction on the model. I hadn't heard anything about the Slim coming to the US...if the price is right, chances are it could be a fierce competitor with the Oreck!

What are your favorite Private Label Machines?

All of those are very cool machines, especially that blue Penneys Concept! What a neat color! I also have some Wards catalogs that show the Hoover-made machines...I'll scan them in if anyone's interested. It's too bad these aren't as common as their namebrand counterparts. Here's my only...

    A gift to myself...

I guess to a Hoover diehard, anything non-Hoover is referred to as a "bojack" and kept separate from the Hoovers. While I quite like Hoovers as well, I prefer Eurekas equally, and to me, "bojack" simply means something non-original, such as a replacement bag, cord, etc. I've even used the term...

    OH MY GOD!

A Hoover Elite snowblower, this guy has too much time on his hands. I'd say that electrocution with that POS would be damn near impossible considering how much plastic it has...

Here might be your only chance!

Seriously now! The "Make Offer" feature is similar to a reserve price. You can make a reasonable offer and if the seller accepts it, you can buy the machine. Judging by how outrageous this one is going for (he's dreaming; these machines aren't THAT rare), I'm thinking the seller won't be...

    A Roll-Easy Counterpart!

Considering that a similar Westinghouse machine (except in much better shape) went for over $1000, I bet this one is going to go for a good amount. If it ended for $24.99 that would be too strange, especially when a Model 65 Convertible ended for $200, and a Hoover Model 61 was around $122...

    Dyson Canister

DC12? Tom Gasko mentioned something to me about a model DC20, which was supposed to have an electric power nozzle, arriving this February. I wonder if this is just a lower-tier model? Has anyone else heard anything about this?

Does anyone have vintage machines that aren't so pretty?

I have many (such as my Model 65) that aren't so great but I thought I'd share my 20's Hoovers. The 103, which is the worse-looking one of the two, runs perfectly. The 105 doesn't run and needs motor brushes. The tufted brushrolls on both are in fantastic shape, which I find very strange. Both...

What are your favorite Kirby models????

Those Kirbys are BEAUTIFUL! The only Kirby I have (aside from one which I will be trading soon with another member...) is a Heritage II Legend (complete with original documentation) purchased in April 1988. The machine itself is in OK condition (aside from a scraping belt lifter and some deep...

    Electrolux stick!

I remember when these Eureka SuperBrooms (Electrolux's acquisition of Eureka in 1974 as stated in another thread explains the name in the UK, and why it wasn't used in the US at the time) were new, approx. 1995. They had the rechargeable TheBOSS version, which was DC-powered with a revolving...
