Best current Vacuum Cleaner money can buy

I'm not entirely sure about Europe but Rainbow's pricing is fairly consistent in almost all the markets they sell to.

Dyson dc07 Carpet- terrible carpet cleaning?

The DC07 is fine on surface dirt like hair but the brushroller really doesnt agitate the carpet particularly well. I rotate one upstairs with a Rainbow E Series and a Sanitaire, it never does as good a job for grooming the carpet or deep cleaning, but is fine if I just want a quick run to get...

Time to get another Fantom Cyclone XT I guess!

I have a parts one in the shed but I don't know if the motor is any good as the unit had no cord when I trash picked it. Unfortunately I can't get to it at the moment due to snow. They do take the same motor as a Kenmore canister from a while back.

    Very odd Defender brand Vacuum

Think it was vaguely based on something like the Electrolux Model XXX based on how it looks, just more crude.

    Common vacuums seen in trash

Rainbow sanitizing Though I've never seen one trashed, when I've found Rainbows at thrift stores I always run their sanitizer in them for a few minutes before disassembly for cleaning. The Alcohol in it should kill mostly anything

    Common vacuums seen in trash

Trashed but not necessarily broken Picked up a Hoover bagless windtunnel with cord rewind not far from my house last year. Not broken, not clogged, nothing even wrong with it. It wasn't really even dirty. I've been using it on the carpets in my garage because my Bissell garage vac doesn't have...

    Dyson cinetic big ball

It probably works about as well as any other Dyson. If anyone knows does it have better suction than the DC07? I'm not opposed to Dyson, I think they are marketing upper level discount store quality. A few things that I don't agree with, Fantom's original 9 and 11 amp models originally shipped...

    My new Dyson DA001!

The Fantom Thunder/Kenmore Desinty/Domestic was available before the DC01, let alone the Rainbow.

    Today's intake of derelict machines

The special edition Fury is not really that much rarer than a regular one. If anything a 10 amp Fury is the most rare.

    Rainbow E series Replacement?

You'll maybe see a slight update next year, but they have been revising it going forward so you don't really get the need for an entire revamp. The D4 to E Series was quite a major change, the current platform has room to evolve, you'll be more likely to see attachment advancements. Still...

Scored an awesome Sanitaire S657 for $4.99!

Not only is it in awesome shape but it works awesome too! Almost too good to be true.

    Rainbow E2 Platinum or Sirena?

Power nozzle I prefer the Rainbow's current power nozzle. As someone else mentioned it has lots of accessories. There is also the fact that it is USA made. They are both fine cleaners. The price spread on new machines between the two is huge, but if you are buying used and don't mind it, much...

    Kirby

I sincerely hope They truly release something with major updates.

    Kirby

I think We should wait and see what this thing brings. I'm not a Kirby lover by any stretch but still own several. I'm curious to see what they come up with. You're going to get one of two things, a recolor scheme version of the Sentria or an actual redesign. I really really really (can't...

    Kirby

Innovation I hope Kirby does it like Rainbow did from D4 to E Series. Sticking to the original basic design but making it more user friendly in terms of attachments and design. I think Rainbow was more aggressive in terms of design, a lot of the stuff coming out of the D series to E series and...

    Kirby

Kirby in retail stores I think it was Tom that said a Kirby wouldn't sell in a Wal-Mart or Sears. I'd agree it is too high end for Wal-Mart, but I think they'd sell some in a store like Sears or similar stores which carry a lot of appliances. They probably wouldn't sell a lot, but I believe...

Has anyone sued Dyson for false advertising?

DC07 It is actually a better machine than a lot of what they are producing now, assuming you keep the upper cyclone assembly from getting clogged. It has its issues, but it isn't junk. The DC33 by contrast is downright fragile. The newer stuff doesn't seem much better, I've got a broken ball at...

Has anyone sued Dyson for false advertising?

It still picks up and thus in the vac after vac tests the second vac to go always wins because it picks up what is left behind. All in home vac demos play on this. The last vac always still picks something left behind. You could empty the Dyson bin, wash it and still get something. The...

Has anyone sued Dyson for false advertising?

The Fantom used a better motor and filtered better in cyclones due to it. I know Fantom used and licensed Dyson technology but I don't think any vac using it better implemented it than the Thunder. Bear in mind original Fantom models didn't use a filter, neither did the Rainbows. If you want a...

New vac: Rainbow vs Miele. Also technique question

Unfortunately every water vac is also a canister. If I had the money I'd do it as an upright.
