Numatic's Brand New Henry HVR200-A2 Has Been Changed After Only 3 Months!

Having mentioned this before to my other half, Sophie mentioned that when she uses the 580w John she finds him difficult to push on carpet & has to resort to opening the air valve (as you mention Sebo-fan). I wonder if the new 2 speed but with the slightly bigger motor helps with this as...

Numatic's Brand New Henry HVR200-A2 Has Been Changed After Only 3 Months!

I hate the flower, it's never looked right IMO. I still don't see any difference in performance between my 580w John & my 1200w Autosave Henry (if anything the 580w seems better!) So the change puzzles me (unless it's a reliability issue - he says worriedly). I would say though that neither...

Numatic's Brand New Henry HVR200-A2 Has Been Changed After Only 3 Months!

I tried the standard Autosave floor tool on my Numatic John. I didn't notice that much difference, I don't think it's quite as effective (& I certainly prefer the Wessel one) but it didn't seem too bad at all. Dave

Numatic's Brand New Henry HVR200-A2 Has Been Changed After Only 3 Months!

Hello That really is very surprising. Do you have any further info' or pictures of the new machines? I wonder what the reason was behind it? I have a Numatic John & it's plenty powerful enough (no real difference I can tell between it & my 1200w Autosave) so I can't see that being a factor...

James Dyson: "The EU should spur invention, not mediocrity"

Mr Dyson's rant is quite amusing but total drivel. I love it when the environment is mentioned by someone who switched his manufacturing to Malaysia. I wonder how many Dyson's he sells there & I wonder how strictly controlled pollution from that Dyson plant is compared to one that would be in...

Numatic Hetty with an extra surprise!

There was no spare hose in with my John or a bag. I did get an Aero-brush as well as a normal floor tool though. Dave

Numatic Hetty with an extra surprise!

Cool video, I enjoyed it & great surprise, I'd be pleased with that. I have an Autosave Henry & a new John. I like the Henry but the John is in my opinion far superior, the new floor tool is great & works really well & isn't hard work like the old tool was on carpets. The new motor is also...

    The Pure Power of Hoover?

I got my mum one of these a few months back. I tried it before taking it to her house & frankly hated it, it seemed creaky & cheap to me (no offence is meant by this it's just what I thought). It seemed to work ok (not great but ok) & I do like the looks, in a sort of retro way it looks cool...

    Numatic John

I must admit that is an excellent idea concerning slot rings at the back near the "park", hopefully Numatic will do it one day. Incidentally I don't suppose anyone knows who actually manufactures these new lower watt Numatic motors do they? I assume it's bought in & not Numatics own. Cheers Dave

    Numatic John

Hi There's one "hook" type attachment already attached & clipped onto the brim of his hat(same type they've had for a while)that will hold one small tool but generally I add a couple more. It is a touch irritating as the stored tools can catch on door frames etc & ping off, but they're no worse...

    Numatic John

Hello I just thought I'd share my experience of the new Numatic John sold via John Lewis as part of their 150 year celebrations, fitted with the new lower watt eco-type motor. I got this recently (I'd originally got the purple Lewis model but a faulty front castor meant I returned him)...

The new Numatics - the spec

Hello I liked the look of these the minute I saw them but I didn't realise they were to the new spec' so I didn't think I'd bother getting one (seemed too like the one I have). I was instead waiting for the new ones with the new motor to come out. Therefore thanks so much Turbo500 for giving...

    German Numatic Website

Placing the switches at the front would also presumably solve the problem of the PCB being near the exhaust. They probably keep the switches out of sight at the back on the domestic ones so as to avoid spoiling the line/appearance of Henry's "hat".

    Vacuum for my mother-suggestions

Hello all Well as instructed by my mum, I picked up the Hoover Pure Power from Argos today (it's currently at my house I'm taking it to hers later). You guys were certainly right, Hoover ain't what they were ! The handle release has freed off quite a bit now but initially I thought I'd have to...

    Vacuum for my mother-suggestions

Hello all. Just to give you an update, I've given mum the facts & figures, discussed at length the various attributes (or lack of), given my opinon &........ mum wants the Hoover Pure Power ! As mum's had Hoover's before she trusts the brand, so that is that. So, this week I will scoot off to...

    Vacuum for my mother-suggestions

Hi Excellent! Thanks so much for all the input & opinions. The video's beko1987 are great as it helps give an idea of the size, cheers for that. I see what you mean about the Amazon reviews sebo_fan probably best not to pay too much heed to those. My local 2 Argos's have now run out of stock of...

    Vacuum for my mother-suggestions

Thanks for that Sebo-fan, I must admit I'm not crazy about her getting a Hoover. I personally like the Panasonics, in particular the MC-UG302WP47. Their house is all carpeted (except the kitchen which is vinyl/lino), so I think it would probably be fine (it's also in Argos nearby). I'll also...

    Vacuum for my mother-suggestions

Hi again. Sorry to ask again, but are Hoover PurePowers any good? My mum has been looking in the Argos catalogue & as we always had Hoovers years ago, she still likes them. I know that Hoover have turned out some junk at times but is the 2000w PurePower bagged upright at £79.99 any good? It's...

    Vacuum for my mother-suggestions

Hello Yes I'm afraid that a Dyson would be well out of the price range, ideally £100.00 would be the top but mum would go to £160.00 at a push. I do like the look of the Vax models as they're also light in weight & whilst mum has no stairs to contend with, light weight has to be good at her age...
