    New Filterqueen $1199 & Kirby $1295.

I just accidentally discovered that Filter Queen is selling direct from their site when I went to buy a part. Then they emailed me a deal to buy a new machine for $899. Couldn’t say no. I guess the old FQ will live in the RV, LOL!

Blackheart and Mike811, thank you! That was succinct and perfect!

Filter Queen 75th and M360 (black) airflow losses

I’m still new at this... ...so, how do you measure the airflow for a given machine, and what do you need to do it?

Rainbow E2 and Tristar CXL airflow tests.

Just a thought, but I’ve always kind of figured that water vacs were deliberately limited in terms of airflow simply because if they would pull the water right through the fans, separator or no, if the airflow was sufficiently high.

probably for the first time, a separator water vac sold by a department store chain

I didn’t know any of that about Great Vacs. Thanks for the heads up.

probably for the first time, a separator water vac sold by a department store chain

I’m kind of impressed that it comes with the Prolux Storm shampoo attachment. Prolux retails that for $200.

Rainbow Minijet is kind of fragile

Yeah, it’s turned out to be a surprisingly good quick clean-up tool. I won’t ever be without it now that I’ve seen what it can do.

Rainbow Minijet is kind of fragile

That's some good fortune, there. I wish a comparable shop was so close to me in Southern California!

Rainbow Minijet is kind of fragile

I don’t know if it’s a matter of it being cheap, or just an engineering and design issue. I think they probably could have made it fasten down in a slightly different manner and not change the material at all, and the cost would remain the same. In any case, at least it’s an inexpensive part...

Rainbow Minijet is kind of fragile

I was trying out my new Minijet on a pet stain this morning on a little rug in our bathroom. Did a nice job, so pretty happy with that. What wasn’t cool is when I tried to remove the front lens to clean the nozzle. I lifted up the tab to remove it, and the tab snapped right off. Thankfully...

    New Rainbowmate

Well, heck. I didn’t know a new one was released. I JUST bought the old one on eBay. I haven’t even received it yet. Well, I guess I’ll live. Maybe I’ll get the new one in the future.

Aquamate owners: is Rainbow Carpet Cleaner the only safe choice?

Is it possible to use other carpet cleaning solutions in an Aquamate, or are foaming issues too much of a risk?

Replacement hose for Filter Queen 360

Would the FQ accessories fit the Wessel Werk hose, or would I have to get compatible ones as well?

Replacement hose for Filter Queen 360

Anybody have a good line on a replacement hose for a 360? I wouldn't mind unfinished hose I had to attach the ends to.

Is it possible to use any shampoo solution on a Kirby G series?

And another. You can probably find more with a google search. The important thing is PLEASE, do not use shampoo meant for an extraction system. http://www.janilink.com/product_info.php?products_id=14885&cPath=1208

Is it possible to use any shampoo solution on a Kirby G series?

No. Kirby vacuums can only use a dry foam shampoo. They're not easy to find, outside of the Kirby brand. I've found some before, Franklin Super Carpet and Upholstery Shampoo. It works well, smells somewhat of bananas, but not unpleasantly. Most importantly, the other products you've...

    Filter Queen accessory power failure

Oh, I guess not too pricy. http://www.vacpartswarehouse.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=FQ%2D3660

    Filter Queen accessory power failure

The outlet on the canister is correct. And replacing a PC board sounds a bit on the pricy side.

    Flitrete Filter Queen cones

I ran across this on eBay today, and while the idea of using Filtrete media in the FQ is kind of cool, I'm wondering if the design really lends itself well to it, or if Filtrete might actually clog up faster than an OEM filter cone. I'd love to hear your thoughts...
