Hoover Wide path steam cleaner - help please

Houston, we have a problem. So I thought maybe they had redesigned the bearing and thats why it looked different. Not so. I closed it up and it didn't spin. Turns out that the bearing I got, was just slightly thicker than the orignal one. So, I cleaned up the orignal one and packed it with grease.

Hoover Wide path steam cleaner - help please

Thanks, Fred. I'll take some pics for everyone as I go. I'll just wing it, its pretty much trash anyway, so I can't make it any worse. The parts showed up today but I don't even have the energy to open the box. I still have the mega crappy cold, I finally went to the doctor today and am very...

Hoover Wide path steam cleaner - help please

Hi all, looking for some help. My partner brought me his parents, my outlaws, Hoover steam cleaner, model# F6023-900, because it was not working right. So, took it apart, found the cover/hood was cracked causing a suction problem. Also found the brushes were not going around at all. I took the...

    Bissell ProHeat Questions

Be Gentle! I have repaired three of these just recently. All suffered the same problem. The clear part of the nozzle on the front right and left corners seems to be a stress point and breaks very easily. Watch running into furniture and walls. My best advise is DONT LIFT IT FROM THE FLOOR! The...

    Hoover Commercial Upright Elite

Great job. Funny, I just finished putting back together a Hoover Elite. This one had a shattered fan. Seems to be working well now, but, wow I fogot how loud these machines are. It also had that same clump of hair on the motor air intake, they all seem to get it.

    Shattered Fan

I'm working on a Hoover 6.7amp Elite U4511-900 for a customer. It was not happy so I took it apart and the fan is shattered, not broken, not cracked, but cracked up in a bunch of pieces barely holding togetehr. Ordered a new one, so all will be well, but I am curious - how much force, or, what...

    vacuums at Wal-mart

Eureka Boss Smart Vac If I had to. I was actually just there yesterday and checked them all out. It has a bag, and, the primary air passage from the nozzle to the bag is quite big in diameter. The switch to swich over to tools is on the top facing surface, and shunts the suction over to the...

    Metropolitan Vacuum

Dave, I think you are thinking of the Air-Tec BK2000. Charlie W is a distributor for them. They use the air-way like bag and own the castings for the original airway solid aluminum tools. Andy http://www.air-tec.com/Products-bk2000.shtml

I just don't like bagless vacuums.....

Don't forget Even the dyson can loose suction, this one did! The owners manual actually says to "avoid fine dust" Only bags for me.
