Close up of Samsung, this pipes are my idea, we don't normally have pipes out, but what's the point having them out if we can't demo? All of our displays are smart

Vacuum store displays in the UK

Hi all and merry Christmas. I've seen loads of threads on vl of American store displays of vacuums, so I thought of showing our American cousins what we have over here. This is my store I work at, Currys Megastore York, and my whole department of sda, specialising in floorcare, as you'll see, I...

    Gtech Multi Hand held.......

I prefer the Dyson, after using both at work. The air ram, struggles suction wise, and as for the compaction, it doesn't work, they were nowhere near bundles but rather slightly bundled with mostly loose dust! The DC59 is great, on hand floor and carpet, we test it with flour, picks it up...

    Bit of advice needed

Hey all, I feel completely stupid asking this, but I'd rather check if I have this right. The public I see at work don't understand how a vacuum cleaner works, so I have to explain, this is how I see it, correct me if I'm wrong. Vacuum is a difference on pressure, resulting in suction...

    My new DC39 Animal

Nice machine Matt. I would comment on the car too but, I'm more interested in your kitchen, looks lovely! I'm surprised the us and sa already have the cinetic and the hard, it surely can't be long before we get them? How are you finding the tangle free tool? Brilliant isn't it!

    Goblin Skyline 1250

Perhaps a clog? Take the tubes off and take them outside. Look through the end up to the sky. If you can't see daylight, its clogged. Does the motor sound like it's struggling?

    Gadget show review cordless vacs

That's a great price, I am tempted to have a look and see if I can find a cheap one. Would be handy for my little attic bedroom

    SEBO VACUUM CLEANERS

'Not enough airflow to clean carpets' I would beg to differ. I went round with my S7 on Eco mode, thinking the carpet was clean. Put a piece of kitchen cloth over the hose of the Sebo and tried that. A few times the blockage light came on, the cloth was thick with dust. No offence to the...

    Gadget show review cordless vacs

For our friends across the pond, Gadget Show is a consumer technology program on channel 5 (eek!) This week they reviewed cordless vacuums, including the AEG Ultrapower, Dyson DC59, Vax Life Unplugged, Morphy Richards super vac , Bissell liftoff, Gtech air-ram and the Hoover unplugged. No...

    Looking for a cordless vacuum...

Yes there does, the Dyson cordless sticks, such as the DC59 or DC44. They have the motorised floor brush and the Animal versions come with a small motorised brush. The tube can take attachments, and can come off for use as a handheld. They're very light and comfortable to use. Dyson sell a...

hoover turbomaster WINS have a LOOK

Erhh by the way... Jmmurray, I think the word you're looking for is HORRENDOUS. As is your spelling by all accounts. It wouldn't surprise me if citreon has Aspergers, I do and it doesn't make me any different.

    Latest toy..

I'm still in amazement at how well it cleans. The green carpet you see in the photos is temporary while we do the renovation on the house, it came from my dad's old work, so it's commercial carpet. Because it's ribbed, and rather stiff, it is a PITA to clean thoroughly, the X4 doesn't have a...

    Latest toy..

I like how it is a 'commercial' vacuum designed for domestic, rather than other manufacturers doing it the other way round. There was a member on here who said Currys salespeople have a lack of knowledge on Sebo. I'm not one of those, and in my time working there, I have sold many Sebos, more...

What a Difference a Year Makes

That silver and green one in the left of the top left image, looks like the Vax Air we have in the UK

Oh my days, never heard such rubbish

Stupid Brussels, seems like we will all be seeing less power to our vacuums from now on. Of course, Mr Dyson has had his twopence on the situation. What do you think? http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/new-eu-energy-rules-set-1920537

    Latest toy..

Last picture. The base. Took it apart and gave it a clean. Wasn't too bad, the usual muck as you'd expect. Brush roll seems fine too. All in all its great. Not quite as refined as the S7, but not much is. It seems noisier, especially when it's winding down after being turned off, not sure if...
